Alpaca Finance is a lending protocol that enables leveraged yield farming (automated market making) on Binance Smart Chain. Lenders are able to earn yields on their tokens, and the protocol provides borrowers capital efficient undercollateralized loans for leveraged yield farming positions. Alpaca Finance utilizes the liquidity layer of integrated exchanges, which connects LP borrowers and lenders with the purpose of improving capital efficiency. Alpaca Finance is a lending protocol allowing leveraged yield farming on Binance Smart Chain. Lenders are able to earn yield on the assets they deposit, including both stablecoins and crypto assets alike. Users can borrow tokens to increase their farming positions and thus capture more yield. Additionally, the platform offers borrowers undercollateralized loans for leveraged yield farming positions. These yields are paid through a combination of the interest paid by borrowers, underlying trading/pool fees, and finally through incentive rewards paid in both Alpaca and the tokens of platform partners. Lending vaults are used with continuous interest accrual for ALPACA tokens, as well as other popular tokens such as BNB, USDT, TUSD, BTCB, and ETH. Borrowing from these vaults while partnering with Binance Smart Chain DEXs such as Pancakeswap, WaultSwap, and MDEX enable the platform is able to provide its leveraged yield farming product. Although the platform operates on BSC, the governance token is of the ERC20 variety, and allows for participants to share in platform revenue in addition to a decentralized governance. Holding the ALPACA token allows users to participate in the grazing range section of the platform, where other projects partner with Alpaca Finance to earn more user exposure, and ultimately liquidity. Participating ALPACA holders are rewarded with yields and tokens from the partnering projects. Finally, Alpaca Finance relies on Chainlink for its price oracle in order to prevent flash loans and manipulation of price.
