I’ve had a colleague using TD/TOS and me using IBKR and TD fills are better than IBKR but it only matters a small percentage of the time.

TD has TEQT. Relatively new. It's their version of the other EQT type ETFs out their. I buy mine in a self directed TFSA on Wealthsimple. I was buying it through TD Easy Trade but the app is atrocious. However I may go back to just using TD for everything.
In the self directed account I also play around with a small portion of individual stocks, but mainly focus on the ETF.

Hello. I need to take some profit and will be selling a bit soon. Im pretty nervous about it as it will be a substantial amount. What is the absolute safest exchange for an albertan to withdrawal and is there anything else I need to know? I would be withdrawing to TD, are they usually fine with crypto deposits?
Im mainly concerned about customer service. So I guess I'm just asking which exchange has the best reputation and best most responsive customer service. If they were canadian that would make me feel safer knowing they are local but not sure if that matters. Any help appreciated thank you! I did use search function but could not find answers.

My dad is with BMO, has crypto - never had a problem. I'm with TD, same thing.

I think if you're just e-transferring stuff they don't care. I've had really unusual transactions, sometimes in multiples (like 8 x $200 to withdraw) and never been questioned. If you're using wire, and this sort of transaction is unusual for you, I would probably talk with BMO ahead of time as a precautionary measure to make sure they don't flag it as fraud or suspicious. But in general, don't think you'll have many problems.
Never had a problem with NDAX, SP, or Kraken.. yet.

But with RH they don’t ask you crap just apply
Thing with RH you can not sell options naked
So your losses are defined it’s not true level 3

MAJOR news:
* The EU agreed to buy $750B worth of US energy, and to invest $600B more than previously into the US. A 15% tariff was agreed on most EU goods, including autos, but maintained a 50% tariff on steel, aluminium and copper. The EU will impose 0% tariffs on US goods.
* EU officials clarifying that the "$600 billion investment" and "$700 billion in U.S. energy purchases" under the new trade deal are simply "intentions," not commitments.

* EVGO - a $225 million senior secured credit facility with five global banks to help expand its fast-charging network across the U.S.—with room to bump that up to $300 million. * MCD - is selling eight of its retail properties in Hong Kong, valued at $153 million, while keeping the restaurants running under leaseback deals. I’ve got three accounts, and I like to play it safe by spreading my investments across different brokers. I have a Charles Schwab, Vanguard, and Fidelity account. This way, if one of them gets into trouble, like what happened with Robin Hood and GameStop, I can still buy and sell stocks and equities. Plus, each brokerage has its own pros and cons. I love using Fidelity’s cash management account to pay my bills and earn a good return on their money market fund. Vanguard has the best money market fund yields, and Charles Schwab acquired TD Ameritrade, which gives you free access to their trading platform. They also have a debit card that lets you withdraw money from ATMs without any fees. And guess what? Charles Schwab also offers the best market rate for currency exchange exchanges.

I have been actively trading since my sophomore year of college and have used a variety of platforms like e-trade, metatrader, tradingview, TD's ToS, ninjatrader, binance, coinbase pro, gemini, quantower, and some others i cant recall atm -- however, you guys have nailed the desktop IBR and TWS platforms for your clients. The IBKR and TWS desktop platforms you provide stand out as exceptionally well-designed and user-focused. It's amazing to experience platforms brought by an entity that effectively puts use to the most advanced features in the trading space into a single hub.
I understand that such innovation would not be possible without the contributions of key partners, so, please keep killing the scene, because I believe this represents only the beginning for many of us - all thanks to you guys.

Hi all, I’ve 22 years old, I currently have VGRO and it has been going pretty well (9% revenue in the past 4 months) and I received my first dividends a few weeks ago, now i want to ask what other ETFS do you recommend for my portfolio, I have on mind VFV (30-40% of my portfolio), QQQM, maybe 10% of my portfolio on TD and Enbridge.
Could you please guide me? I want to keep investing on VGRO but I want to diversify properly.
Thanks!

Depends on the card issuer. My wife and I each have our own cards from several card issuers (same account though for each issuer). Some are exactly the same number for both my card and her card. Some are different. Just to give a few examples - for Elan Financial (Fidelity) and Wells Fargo the cards numbers are the same, for TD Bank and American Express the numbers are different.

That's better than traditional bamks... but it's stuck there for 5 years.
Better if you place them in a digital bank time deposit for 1 year then renew as you wish. For example, Salmon offers 8.88% for 1-year TD for 500K and above (I'm not affiliated with them).

We recently transferred our accounts to Webull Canada to take advantage of several active promos. We used family referrals to keep the bonuses in the family (more on that below).
**Why I Chose Webull Canada**
Before moving over, I did some digging. What reassured me is that Webull Canada is a CIRO-regulated introducing broker, and assets are held with CI Investments (also CIRO and CIPF protected, up to $1M).
**My Experience So Far**
* **Support**: Webull support has been better than expected. Both phone and email reps have been responsive and helpful. Fingers crossed they keep that up.
* **Fees**: As a buy-and-hold investor who only rebalances once or twice a year, the $10 annual fee and $2.99 trade commission aren’t an issue for me.
* **Platforms**:
* **Mobile App**: Feature-rich and responsive. Real-time bid/ask updates and no noticeable delay when placing orders. My only gripe is the missing Daily P&L tab (which is available in the U.S. version), but support said it’s in the works.
* **Desktop App**: Feels similar to TD's Advanced Dashboard. Not quite on par with TradingView or ToS, but pretty solid overall.
**My Webull Wishlist (already shared with support):**
* DRIP
* Internal transfers / journaling
* Norbert’s Gambit
* More account types (Joint Cash/Margin, Spousal RRSP)
**Bonus Status**
So far, Webull has been paying the promo bonuses as expected. Still waiting on the longer-term bonuses like the elevated referral payout and the 2% asset match, but the process has been smooth so far.
**Current Webull Canada Promos (as of July 2025):**
* **New user bonus**: $50 for $100 deposit (with referral) or $150 for $500 (without)
* **2% match** on transferred assets for 12 months (up to $20,000 for a $1M transfer)
* **Transfer fee rebate**: Up to two $150 credits (e.g. Cash + TFSA or RRSP)
* **Referral bonus**: Up to $3,000 for $500K+ transfer (paid to the referrer - can split or use a family member)
* **Secondary referral bonus**: $100 for a $100 deposit (paid to the referrer - can split or use a family member)
**All promos are stackable!** Hope this helps others who are on the fence. Happy to answer questions or clarify anything.

Schwab. I was with TD Ameritrade originally because I like using their TOS trading platform. Schwab eventually acquired TDA and retained the TOS platform.
