I’m doing SPMO QQQM SMHX equal weighted. If I had to pick 1 it would be QQQM as it’s the most proven long term so that would give me the most peace of mind. I keep hearing SPMO and other momentum stocks can easily get it wrong and end up trailing S&P for months. SMHX is just semiconductors so too narrow to go all in on for me.

Some of my favorite non leveraged equity funds are: QTUM, SHLD, SPMO, UTES, PPA, ARKW, MAGS, FNGS, BWEB, GABF, VGT
That excludes the internationals, hedge fund, managed futures, bonds, currency, commodity stuff. Just plain equity based.

Trying slowly to diversified to $GOOG LEAP and then potentially full split in $SPMO/$FTEC/$SCHG/$VOO holding but... every time I've done that the past 2 months I regretted it.

1. SPMO ETF - Best performing growth ETF of the last few years.
2. HOOD - Only individual stock I own right now. I see huge growth for them in the future like owning JPMorgan, Coinbase, SOFI, Visa / Mastercard in one stock.
3. JEPQ ETF - 12% yield with no NAV erosion.
4. BTCI ETF - offers about 25% yield and is the only Bitcoin income ETF that holds actual Bitcoin.
I might start adding Amazon as well

The guy who manages most of my money has me in solid things like VOO, XLK, SCHG.
I swing through my IRA. My current top holdings are EWP (Spain), SPMO (amazing momentum etf), EUFN, VIRTUAL and COF.

SPMO out of these two. Personally I prefer a three fund portfolio, specifically: SPLG, VGT, SPYI

Instead of investing in QQQ, I invest in FTEC + SPMO. I think tech and momentum outperform large growth for the growth portion of a portfolio. It’s up to you if you agree but compare them and maybe you’ll see what I mean. I would also raise AVUV quite a bit. At least 20% but I think it should be equal to the growth portion. If the AI bubble bursts as bad as the dot com bubble it’s going to be a long road of recovery and during that time AVUV will be performing like tech is now. So 40-50% VOO, 25-30% QQQ, 25-30% AVUV. Or maybe 40% VOO, 20% SPMO, 20% FTEC, 20% AVUV.

So far with the short history of SPMO and all things considered, expense ratios, rebalancing returns etc. if market condition remained the same since it launched the difference is going to be negligible . SPMO does well it up-trending tech. But it’s history is to short..Report back in 30 years and we can see how they compare. But with short term bias it certainly appears that way.

How much money are you starting? If it’s below $10k then start with VOO or SPMO by the time you hit $10k you already have an idea what to add.

If I had 40 years to invest I would definitely do 25% SPHQ, 25% SPMO, 25% AVUV, 25% FTEC. Or add an international fund like IDMO, AVDV, or VXUS and do 20% each. It’s the best portfolio for long term growth… in my humble opinion, of course.

I too am tech heavy. I couldn’t imagine tech not outperforming in y lifetime even if it has periods of major drop. However, I would recommend IGV for software. Tech has cycles and it starts with semiconductors and then goes to software. I would put an equal amount into SMH and IGV. I personally would cut QQQ. It only performs well because of tech and since you already have tech specific funds it becomes pointless. I personally balance my tech with SPMO, SPHQ, and AVUV, but I don’t know if those are available in the UK. The next best option is 50% VOO or VT and 50% tech. But when it comes to tilting a portfolio I believe you should do an allocation based on how much faith you have in that tilt. If you are 50% sure tech will outperform, go 50% tech. If you are 80% sure, go 80% tech. 10% go 10%. But it would be good to balance the rest with something that is the opposite. Small cap value, AVUV, is the opposite. low volatility like SCHD is also the opposite. Honestly doing 50% AVUV and 50% SCHD of the percentage you don’t allocate to tech would likely be a good move since small cap value will do well during market recovers and SCHD would lower volatility. But personally I like investing in small cap value, large cap quality, large cap momentum, mid cap momentum and tech, with the highest allocation to tech.

I just purchased SPTM SPMO VXUS. I seriously considered a two ETF portfolio but, with the international trade disruption and new alliances and agreements being signed outside the U.S. international markets will be hard to ignore.

I made a post earlier today about SPMO or FCNTX, well my friend gave me this other growth portfolio and I can't decide which one. Help me out:
VOO 47%
SPMO 15%
VEA 20%
XLC 5%
PPA 5%
GRID 5%
BITB 3%
Or
FCNTX 80%
SPMO 20%

I wouldn’t do SPMO for 100%. Momentum doesn’t perform well in all market cycles. SPMO should compliment a portfolio but not be the whole thing. FCNTX on the other hand has beaten the market for 40 years. As an active fund it’s a risk but it’s probably one of the best out there and cheaper than most.

You don't know where I came from - it has been a crazy year... I should make a thread about it one day when I have time. I'm holding at least until HOOD is at $120.. It should get there easily if market doesn't snap. Once around $120+ - I should be around $1M NW. Then I've to think hard.
I"ll either move all to $SPMO and move on with my life.. or hold HOOD but roll LEAP to further expiration each time they touch 6MODTE and continue like this forever.
I basically decided to consider myself a HOOD employee.
