Ya, I bought another 100 of SPCE at $4.77, thinking that I bought the top for the day. I was very wrong. Could not believe it hit mid- $6 range. It calmed down, but what a crazy ride.

I am hovering around 50/50 on LEAPS and companies with shares in the multiples of 100. It all comes down to upfront cost. Let's take one of my recent LEAPS, NVDA. I did not really plan on buying another LEAPS but when the shares went under $100 in the beginning of April, I did not have $10k to drop. But I did have $4k and went in on a $95 strike. The breakeven is $135, so it is almost there with the share price at $132. When I bought in April, things were still going down. I did not know where the bottom was, but I do understand that NVDA is a solid company that is producing chips that are essential to AI which seems to have a lot of potential.
An example of buying the shares without options would be SPCE today. I was in at with 200 shares at about $9 per share, down about 40% since initial buy in. The company’s goal is to essentially build a “spaceline” business like the airlines, but for space, with multiple Delta class ships operating at multiple spaceports around the world. The buy in for 100 shares was $400. This brought my average cost down and gave me another potential to sell covered calls against.
Since I have a goal of exercising every LEAPS I enter into, I try to allocate funds to ensure I have enough to exercise as the expiration date nears.
If you are looking for a formula or consistent rule. I don't have one. It just about managing available funds and allocating accordingly.

Yeah!! Back to green. The market is on an another kind of hopium. I sold a coreweave put and closed now for 200$. May be I should have just brought a long call. I sold SPCE put a while ago but the increased iv today it impossible to close.

I have been watching SPCE before it even SPAC’d, I can assure you it will not be profitable lol.

Sometimes, large institutions are forced to purchase a bunch of shares all at once because they've been shorting the company. This can cause bad stocks to suddenly jump in a rapid way. It is usually not an indicator of a turnaround. I have no idea whether SPCE will eventually be profitable, but I wouldn't take this sudden price action as a reflection of the market's long-term view of the company.

Hey Love\_Tech. Hope your account has been growing too. Ya, CoreWeave has been pulling their own weight. I read that NVDA invested $900 million in them. That is a pretty big vote of confidence. The interesting one for me today was SPCE. It was about 80% at one point today.
