NAV erosion.. MSTY lost close to 50% since his position. Not sure how much he’s made in dividends since and if he dripped it back into this etf.

Why not both? Not entirely invalid points. I do also have money, esp in my retirement funds, in ETFs, and MSTR/MSTY, as well as actual BTC (Thank you Fidelity!). I can move my Fidelity BTC into cold wallet storage, but I may just keep that in Fidelity, cuz, I figure if I can't trust Fidelity, then I'm in deep sh\*t with the rest of my retirement (non-BTC) assets! But, most of my BTC, I plan to have in cold storage, but just trying to come up with a sensible manageable safe plan.

If you think your U.S. focused ETF portfolio is flawed. Then what does that say about my 50% MSTY and 50% UPRO?

I plan on retiring(burnt out medical worker) and living on dividends in the next few years. Im at about $3200/month in divis rt now goal is $5000/month.

I've been looking into MSTY. Quite volatile, but for the short term, it may pan out. the dividend yield is insane. It's a big risk though, but I wanna do it. I'm gonna yolo this thing. Wish me luck.

Considering that I dabbled in both GME and AMC back in the day, then I think I have to get into MSTY now. At least for a month or 2. Those dividends are just so high.

Wildly misunderstanding MSTY. Its a pyramid scheme. 99% of the money MSTY repays you is ROC, which is just giving your money back. 1% of the money is yield from income. 50% of the other yieldmax funds have gone bankrupt in about a year, this one just has the retail hype so who knows how long it lasts.

Couldn't get him to buy Bitcoin. But he did buy MSTY after I told him about it.

Before you do look at the other yieldmax funds that lost 50\~80% of value last year and went out of business. Yieldmax is a fund mill with a recipe; it doesn't matter is the same recipe fails a bunch of times, it attracts a lot of money on the few that work for a time, and that's all they are after.
"Work for a time". That is key; as I said, Yieldmax makes cookie cutter funds and the only reason MSTY is one of the winners and not one of the losers is pure dumb luck that the market went their way. When the market doesn't, 50\~80% loses are what to expect.

Consider the money you put into MSTY as your gambling money don’t be surprised if it evaporates unexpectedly. For this reason, I would not DRIP MSTY back into itself, I would instead shovel the dividends from MSTY into other, more solid investments like SCHD.

Sadly no...but ever since learning about MSTY, I'm very tempted to buy it. I'm mostly in O and it's a pretty safe REIT, but I'll never have enough cash to be able to buy enough O to live off of. MSTY on the other hand...I need to keep looking into this.

One of the traders on CNBC bought MSTY - first time I’ve ever heard them mention it. Surprised me. I need to research this.
