The only argument is that some stock market participants, like pension funds or something, are only allowed to buy equities and so can't get direct exposure to BTC. It still really doesn't make sense, though. Especially when companies like MSTR are worth MORE than their underlying BTC holdings

So i showed this reddit with my brother somone who actually works with start ups and his eyes practically BUGGED OUT. He deals with startup peeps daily, and he's like, "These Redditors hqve got MORE conviction than the actual FOUNDERS !
He says half the time, they kinda know their thing isn't gonna be the next sliced bread, especially when someone else is already, you know, slicing bread way better somewhere else. They're sometimes just in it for the ride! 🎢
And get this bombshell: he says SO many startups are basically reinventing the wheel! Like, there's already a perfectly good, proven, and safer wheel out there but they're just... truckin' along with their slightly square version. 🤦‍♀️

This is so dumb. The solution is for the government to SPEND MORE. Pump up jobs, pump up the economy, crank it up baby. These interest payments are irrelevant. GDP is the only thing that matters.
Build high speed rails. Redo all the highways. Build tunnels and bridges. Internet for all. Build museums, gardens, monuments, parks. Research fucking everything. Build fusion reactors. Build quantum computing mega bunkers. Live on Mars. Olympic swimming pools for every city hall. Quadruple aircraft carriers.
Why do we pretend we can't do all of this? What are we afraid of?

I promise I’m not mixing up anything conceptually here (I'm a former registered stockbroker; I've done these things professionally). So I understand your points, I just don't agree, and I'll try to explain why: Market cap, in particular, is itself is a function of share price, and share price is an inherently subjective number based primarily on sentiment, not value or, as you put it, "quality", which is also a subjective term. But GDP, in contrast, is an objective measure of a country's economic output. Furthermore, not to drill you too much, but much of what you’re saying in this last comment is factually incorrect or at least highly dubious, including the whole middle paragraph. So in case it provides some clarity, I'll respond to each claim that paragraph:

Investing heavily in the US creates MORE currency risk, not less, because most of your portfolio is deeply dependent on just one single currency, whereas international funds depend on several currencies. (Yes, the entire world is dependent on the dollar to some extent, but that can be said of any currency; almost every currency in the world is, to at least some extent, interdependent.) Investing internationally does objectively "give me more diversification," particularly in terms of things like taxation/regulation/business rule changes in any given country, including the US. I'm not sure what would make anyone think that investing almost primarily in only one single country would make your portfolio MORE diverse, as it's clearly the opposite. In response to the sentence including the word "historically," I'll just quote the frequently used idiom in all of stock market investing: Past performance does NOT indicate future results. Finally, talking about investing more heavily in the United States as if that would AVOID political instability is especially surprising this year... The US government has been absolutely profoundly erratic and unstable over the past several months, especially in terms of governing the economy: tariffs, unnecessarily horrible international relations, unpredictable taxation and regulatory frameworks, loosening oversight and enforcement of financial crime, etc. That American instability is why my non-US fund (VSGX) is up 12.5% so far this year, versus a measly 0.23% gain for my US fund (ESGV; in case you're curious, these are ESG-oriented Vanguard funds, which basically just pluck out the most obviously ethically dubious companies while leaving the rest of the fund the same).
TLDR is, as always: more diversification is generally better, including internationally.

Have a good day!

\#4 Always gives me a good chuckle..

OP, if you have a large 18" pizza and you slice it into 12 slices, you have a pizza you can share with a small group of people. If you slice that same pizza into 48 THIN ASS slices, do you suddenly have more pizza you can share with even MORE people?

Fundamentals Friday:
Based on Next 12 months earnings expectations, the market as of today is MORE EXPENSIVE than the all time high in february. Earnings expectations have dropped around 6% since then, while equities are only down 3% or so since then.
And that was before any sort of tariffs, with lower yields, and with more fed cuts priced in. Walmart has stated they are increasing prices immediately for the tariffs. PPI crashed indicating margin pressure up the supply chain.
