Here's all I'm trying to maybe answer, maybe you can do it:
how much is a long Call in XYZ going to lose per day or per month *strictly due to the passage of time?*
Is that even able to be approximated?
If the IV of the options could somehow stay the same over the course of a month, will a same-delta same-DTE long Call in TSLA lose the same *to time* as NVDA as COST as GLD?

Curious as to what y'all are holding and why - especially if it's something out of the ordinary.
We all know about SCHD, DGRO, VYM, and the other mainstream dividend ETFs, as well as the covered call funds like JEPQ/JEPI, and QQQI/SPYI. Let's see if we can't point each other in the direction of something on the path less traveled.
To start - I own TDVI and IGLD.
IGLD is one of the gold funds that also provides income. It doesn't provide as many gains as something like GLD during a run-up but it does provide income. GOLY is a comparable fund but hasn't gained quite as much on a total return basis.
TDVI is a tech focused income fund. In terms of total return it has beaten QQQ/QQQM since its inception. The yield is a bit over 7% so it doesn't quite match QQQI in that regard however, again, in total returns it has done quite nicely.
Both of these have higher than average expense ratios. Are they worth it? In my mind, yes. TDVI in particular has beaten the S&P500 since inception. Its older brother TDIV(creative naming, right?) has as well. In my mind, if something has a higher ER but is a superior product it's worth it. That's part of why I don't own VXUS.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing what y'all have that might be off the beaten track - maybe we can all learn a thing or two.

Honestly, I think GLD is going the sideways for the next 4-6 months.
GLD is very good at being choppy for months on end.

GLD is up like 25% YTD out performing Nvidia. Pretty bonkers. I hold a modest amount myself.

I started buying 1 oz Gold Eagles six years ago, one at a time whenever I had some cash. Now I have eight ounces plus several sleeves of 20 Silver Eagles. The upside is, my early gold buys were under $1,500 so I've got good appreciation. The downside is, my main motive in buying them is a hedge if things really go south economically. So in essence, it's dead money in terms of investment. I do own some GLD stock as a liquid investment as well.

I’m going to go back on GLD Monday.
The Vietnam deal, while better than liberation day, is worse than the last 90 days. If that’s what success looks like I’m expecting Wed to be a short rotation. If not from stocks then bonds with BBB signed.

100 Shares of GLD, I have held since Spring, I sell covered calls on occasion.
CDE (silver mining mostly but gold as well, I trade in and out of it as it swings a lot. Sold quite a bit at 8.9 or so, maybe wish I hadn't. Still hold some, was hoping it would dip and I would buy back in.

I will take a look at NEM, Is there a foreign owned mining stock worth taking a look at? It would be nice to benefit two ways from a future spike in gold and drop in the dollar.

Bro, you’re about to get rug pulled. These high-yield dividend stocks look juicy on paper, but they bait retail with inflated payouts that aren’t sustainable. What you’re seeing is NAV erosion, which is your own capital being returned to you disguised as yield. They are all well known traps. These plays collapse the moment the dividend is cut or debt costs spike.
I’d seriously rethink the position. You are literally better off investing into GLD/NVIDIA.
