You can set and forget, but then I wouldn’t recommend investing in any particular stocks then (i.e. NVDA and BBAI), rather find ETFs that cover the sector, otherwise you are exposing yourself to the risk of that company getting fucked by something (unless you are diversifying a ton in that sector yourself).
When I buy a company’s stock (i.e BBAI) I am waiting for them to appreciate a certain amount because they are inherently less stable than the entire sector, or the market itself; as such, I want my money in there for as little time as possible to get a predictable profit that beats the sector by a small margin, usually over the course of months to a couple years. ETFs I plan to hold until I’m about to die and need to start spending all my shit before it gets taken by the government.
For the TFSA thing I also have a managed one with wealthsimple, self managed or otherwise doesn’t matter too much.
As for different sectors to look into, energy, retail, transportation, housing and mining are a few that should have some decent ETFs. Try to look for ETFs that are stable with the market, and check the description on Wealthsimple at the bottom to see what they cover.

I’m holding BBAI and QBTS brought them when the market pulled back. Up nicely. I will roll some profits into some under dogs that I expect to move big by end of year.

I converted a large annuity in 2021 and kept it in cash. In August of 2022 near the bottom of the interest rate hike madness, i deployed a ton of money, and am up 300%. I like where i am, hate the inconsistencies of the current president, and so I am very happy with recent returns, and would prefer to wait for more direction in my investments.

Positions. Somewhere on that list is Sofi with a $4 basis, and BBAI at .50 basis. That’s mostly it.

2. RKLB - around $8 avg. first shares at $5
3. Pokemon cards - mostly Japan Post Stamp Boxes and sequential PSA 10s, JT enhanced bb cases, Evolving Skies bb, Lost Origin bbs. Really good returns so far
4. PLTR - around $50 avg. first shares at $20
5. NVDA / BBAI / CLOV / ACHR / Cash are all pretty close. Not sure which is the most

Since there's a lot of fomo money, if trump goes ahead with his tarrifs, they'll affect the whole US market, people will get rid of their most risky investments, e.g. BBAI shares, this has happened with BBAI several times in the past, e.g. in February '25 its price climbed to around $8 then fell sharply all the way down to $2. I am just saying it's clear there is a lot of fomo money involved and that it is extremely risky investment, I am not saying it can't be profitable or that its price must fall to $2, but given their results and poor earnings (they should thrive under this horrible administration), BBAI is extremely overvalued at $7/share.
