I combine swing trading with scalping portions of my swing trades, usually 50%. Basically, I hold a swing position from a 14 month RSI low of ~30 to highs in the 70’s but scalp half the position daily like a day trader - I sell at intraday high points and rebuy at intraday low points.
Get charting software and overlay the RSI(14) indicator. The RSI can help you find stock at lows when you view 14 months and help you scalp when on a daily chart.
Scalp well and you’ll see that the scalped position earns more.
I use support and resistance levels to set my buy and sell limits. I don’t use a stop loss. Since almost all my positions are bought at RSI 30 to start, they can only go up. I ride the up and scalp half.
I do have positions that I hold for much longer time frames but most are for a few days or weeks. When stocks reach an RSI of 70, they tend to trade there for a 2-4 days, then start to decline, often to 30.
When I’m actively in trades and timing reversals (even with buy / sell limits set) I watch the price action of bids and asks to gauge bullishness.
I watch a group of ~40 stocks on charts everyday, hunting opportunity. I cycle new ones in and out periodically. Here’s my active list right now:
ARM, CHWY, CORZ, ASTS, RKLB, MP, VRT, WIX, SIDU, CRWV, FICO, IONQ, RDDT, VST, APP, JOBY, RGTI, ANET, MSTR, NVDA, QUBT, QS, CRWD, OKLO, PINS, AI, PLTR, CVNA, LUNR, QBTS, HIMS, SERV, SPOT

What you trade makes a big difference. I tend to trade from among a group of ~40 stocks. I do add and remove from this pool of 40 periodically. I tend to pick stocks with Buy and Strong Buy ratings and some with Hold rating. They are almost all below their price target.
I combine scalping with swing trading.
I buy positions in stocks that have an RSI of ~30 on a 14 month time frame (RSI-14 @ 14 months) and ride them to 70 and wait for a reversal before I sell out completely from my trading positions. Some stocks I hold much longer term positions.
Selling completely out of my trading positions can take a few days or sometimes weeks. On the way up, I scalp a portion of the position and rebuy it several times a day. So I hold half and scalp/rebuy the other half. If the stock is still on its way to a 70 RSI or is still trending above 70, I hold overnight.
After each session I hunt for stocks at RSI 30 to trade the following day. Today these stocks are at or near RSI 30 on the 14 month chart:
VST, CRWD,
CVNA - approaching 30 from 44
CRWV - 34, but recent IPO
POET - 35, but speculative stock
Stocks I’m currently holding (swing scalping)
ASTS, CHWY, CORZ, FICO, MP, NFLX, QS, RKLB, VRT, WIX
Other stocks on my watch list
ARM, IONQ, RDDT, APP, JOBY, RGTI, ANET, MSTR, NVDA, QUBT, QBTS, FTAI, OKLO, PINS, AI, PLTR, LUNR, SERV, HIMS, SPOT

Something happened like with ANET a few years ago. Talked about a possible slowdown with one customer, even though they crushed numbers, and was down like 15% the next day lol.
With longs, I think it's just good to pay attention to ERs to make sure your thesis around the company hasn't changed.

Today marks 1 year of being invested into the stock market. All I did was pick some of my favorite industries pick some companies and DCA and chill. I know the market has been up a whopping 12%, but i’ll take a 22% return in the same timeframe. I’m proud that I was able to ride the ups and downs of market the past few quarters without getting all emotional.
Looking towards the future, I’m definitely keeping all of these positions for 5+ years while possibly investing in ANET, ASML, IBIT, some cybersecurity to diversify even further.

ANET is a great company, I am long and wish I bought more under 100. The fear is that Nvidia is trying to cut into their networking business.
Rocket lab is all hype. Basically a meme stock at this point with some small government contracts and decent growth. It got a huge boost after Elon’s fight with Trump. I’ve talked to several people who know nothing about investing who have purchased rocket lab in the last year.
Momentum chasing is how you lose in the long run. It’s really only a short term trading strategy. Just gotta be patient and let those outlandish valuations go. Eventually they crash and burn, or will be dead money for a decade. Slow and steady wins the race
Imo Tesla is m company that will be dead money for 10 years, even with all the exciting developments that could happen. All because the price you pay today is for profits might produce 10 years from now.

Another tech stock that might be interesting is ANET. Still some to go before hitting new ATH.
