As per chat GPT, but I can see groww allows direct plans. I am confused now.
Cons of Demat Account
Annual Charges – Demat AMC fees (₹300–₹800/year typically).
Only Regular Plans – Most platforms offer only regular plans (higher expense ratio).
Limited Control – Less flexibility for nominations, changes need broker involvement.
Exit Load Confusion – Switching platforms may lead to unnecessary exits.

For us, they don’t. Domestically AMC accounts for roughly 20% of the revenue. This can vary substantially by movie, you can break it down by movie but it varies from as low as 9% to as high as 32%. CSI Market is a good source to validate.

Yeah understandable but it really is a horrible metric and has almost nothing to do with the actual ticker. 1B in ticket sales could be all from Cinemark and non publicly traded theaters. How can you quantify how ticket sales equals revenue generation inside only AMC?

Nothing matters ... IMO the cabal is in control of SP and AA / management has and continues to provide the tools. Retail who saved AMC will continue to be purged. So sad 😞

Didn’t this practice jack up the prices for AMC & Bed,Bath, Beyond?

What Iam trying to say is that every platform is going to have some kind of issue at some point. So, do you want to keep switching every time? The reason for saying this is that I invest directly via AMC and Iam not losing on any of these features.

🐱‍👤 The CAT system isn’t protecting the market — it’s feeding it to short sellers.
SEC? Silent.
CAT? Watching retail.
Citadel? Running a shadow exchange in the dark pools.
💥 This is the Trojan Loop:
Retail buys.
CAT flags.
Algo halts.
Shorts reload.
Rinse. Repeat.
🧠💣 They profit from the loop. We’re trapped inside it.

We're a busy family always running late. We always arrive during the 20-minute preview period. So for us, extending the period to 30 minutes is fine. If AMC can generate a few more ad $ i'm fine w it.

1. Thanks for the link. I will review that.
2a. When I started my journey, I had an eye on the MO S&P 500 Index Fund. I wanted to choose one AMC for one fund type, and at that point Mirae Midcap looked equally lucrative, so I chose it over MO Midcap. I thought I would venture into the American market through the other fund, but it seems like that door is closed now.
2b. I found PPFC's AUM was much higher for my liking and there were many overlaps if I chose it, with my other existing funds. Quant's value was pretty impressive then, and their statistical models impressed me. Their past returns were also very decent, so I chose it.
2c. Axis over Nippon was a choice without much brainer. While Nippon had better past returns, I just chose Axis.

They sell regular plans that gives them regular commission till you redeem. They do not directly charge any extra fees over and above the commission which is paid by the AMC and factored in the NAV.
You can find the TER for direct and regular fund from AMC website. This difference is paid to icicidirect.

Cons: You cannot invest/redeem your mutual fund from MFCentral or from the AMC website, If Groww app has any bug or is not accessible.

1. Are you and your dad sure about the risks?
2. Please go through this pinned post? https://www.reddit.com/r/mutualfunds/s/iil2h02kHp
3. Your risk appetite is moderate and you want to invest your dad’s money in small cap?
4. You don’t need both HDFC Flexi and PPFC, keep one.
5. You don’t need Nifty 50 and Next 50, drop Next 50.
6. In case you or your dad has a demat account, look at gold/silver ETF.
7. Would have been better to name AMC for the Index funds you have selected.

This guy is like the Marantz of AMC. Last time he was talking about fundamentals was the thing that mattered. Now that the company is diluting out and the fundamentals still suck now its just the stock, as if that isn't a representation of the underlying company. Dude just makes up shit as he goes.

Bro you gotta read BETWEEN the lines not the actual words:
1. Powell will be replaced by a businessman named Bill Pulte. He will lower interest rates, the value of the worthless fiat dollar will plummet and the value of bitcoin will skyrocket as the USA leads the way in the future of decentralized finance (stunning the world). GME will be on top of a vast mountain of btc, now worth $1 million each and will begin to acquire.
2. RC is going to buy bbby and AMC (making the original hodlers rich ofc) as well as other old, beloved brick and mortar stores such as blockbuster, sears, radioshack, toys R us etc. Yes, even borders bookstore.
3. RC is going to combine these stores into a massive retail giant that will crush amazon - at the exact moment everyone realizes that they hate shopping online and love malls.
4. RC will combine all the entertainment businesses to create a vast arcade/video game/ movie theater/ toy store/ vhs rental store, called Gamestop Arcade, that will crush netflix, disney, and the other big entertainment companies. It will be extremely NFT centric. People will come out of their dark houses where they've been gaming and watching movies in cold isolation, chewing on old, damp burritos and crying and will come together to create a new community.
5. The value of gamestop will go through the roof. At this point the shorts will collapse and MOASS will happen. But it wouldn't matter if it didn't because everyone who invested in GME will be insanely rich anyway.
6. DFV will be elected president of the united states after trump's 3rd term in 2032. RC will be vice president. After he's done his 12 years Pulte will be the next president and Kais will be his vp.

I think I’m about 50% in individual stocks and 50% in FXAIX. I also really enjoy it though and I’m not very investing savvy to be honest. I actually didn’t even touch investing for a while because my very first exposure to investing was AMC back in 2020 or whatever it was and I lost somewhere around 15k? Then I think I lost about 15k in some other stocks around that time. Then I didn’t even touch index funds because I just didn’t know anything about anything.
I only started messing around with stocks again about a year ago. So I’m just learning but I enjoy the process. So I feel like if it’s not something you’re excited to read about and such then just put it all in an index fund. It’s become a really fun hobby for me and I really like learning about all these different businesses that I never would have heard about before. I like looking up all these random companies and seeing what they are about. I don’t invest in many of them but it’s just fun to see. Then if there’s a company that I believe in then I’ll go for it.
