I had a practice trading account back in 2011 or so, and I put $100,000 into TSLA because I thought electric cars were *the future*. Now it’s 2025 and I’m still a broke bitch.

I'm experimenting with low selling low delta covered calls as a way to generate income off of some of my growth holdings that don't pay a dividend (or a tiny one) like TSLA, NVDA, META. I think i can a generate a relatively safe 3-4% on premium from these covered calls but i do have to watch them daily and roll out as needed. That way i cam keep my growth holdings while still creating income. I am not retired now but trying to see if this is viable or I should sell the holdings in favor of traditional dividend stocks.

Worse take than shorting TSLA

We all know stocks defy logic. Meme stocks pump. Shorts get squeezed. TSLA has a crazy high valuation. If it were traded based on fundamentals, it would be around $50 instead of $300. They say fundamentals always matter eventually, but we haven't seen that in the past 5+ years. Was there a time when stocks were all fairly valued or has it always been like this?
