PLTR owns 19.9% of Surf Air Mobility as of last month. There's allot of overlap in the software side of things which is the scalable part. So If I'm investing in things that are meme stock adjacent I'd probably pick Surf Air Mobility

PLTR was a 5x- 8x for most people unless you were playing the calls game. Honestly a great investment, but it won’t make you a billionaire.
The reality is these billionaires find PLTR’s on the regular, and most of them are pharma or defense related.

Here’s mine:
AMZN
BTC
CRWD
GOOGL
LLY
META
MSFT
NVDA
PLTR
RKLB
5 of the Mag 7 which will mirror most of the S&P’s gains, then LLY for a defensive yet innovative approach, BTC as it is now wanted by governments and countries, CRWD, PLTR and RKLB are at the spearhead of there respective industries - cyber, AI/defence and space sectors are ones to watch for the next 5-10 years.
What would you change or tweak? I was close with adding MSFT but wasn’t sure which to switch it with, AMD, TSLA, NFLX, JPM, ASML were also close contenders!

Awesome that you are doing your research and starting slow. This is a whole world within itself, so starting with patience and a high tolerance for failure is warranted.
I can't claim to be someone who will give you all the answers, but if I had to boil it down to two things it's the following:
1. Options are highly mathematically and efficiently priced tools that sophisticated traders/institutions use for hedging purposes. As a retail trader, unless you have a crystal ball, uncanny forecasting/prediction ability, or privileged information, spotting inefficiencies in option contracts is going to be near impossible. Therefore, I like to use options for three things:
a. selling volatility when others are panicking (a la liberation day, carry unwind, covid, etc)
b. high conviction plays (buying out-of-the-money calls on stocks knowing they’ll likely expire worthless, but the risk/reward skews heavily if you’re right)
c. income generation (covered calls, CSPs, spreads) especially in low vol+ regimes.
2. With options, you have to be: i. right on time ii. right on direction Maybe you buy calls on PLTR for years because you knew their value, but ran out of conviction/hope before they made their big run-up. You were right on direction, but your timing was wrong. Maybe you bought calls ahead of earnings because there was going to be a big move, but the direction was wrong. Point is, understand what these factors are, what path dependency is. Recommending a few books below that can help you get started, along with a YouTube channel I kind of like (not endorsing this guy, but have found his explanations somewhat helpful):
**Books:**
Options as a Strategic Investment by Lawrence McMillan: Covers almost every vanilla strategy and when/how to apply them based on vol, outlook, and structure.

Volatility Trading by Euan Sinclair: Walks through how professional traders think about volatility, edge, and portfolio-level risk management

The Option Trader’s Hedge Fund by Mark Sebastian: Good intro to running option selling strategy
YouTube channel:
Invest With Henry
Also - play around with some data/tools that will give you an understanding to some option payoffs. I am plugging my own creation here ([optionterminal.com](http://optionterminal.com)) but its free and actually could be useful for for you to visualize payoffs (also adding some more features like backtesting strategies, scanning, etc.)

People see portfolio snapshots and think they have the whole picture. My portfolio is full of “value” buy the dips and everyone says sell and rebalance but I bought at an awesome price. Don’t listen to that. If you bought PLTR and are positive nothing else matters. investment solidified.
