MSTR! Getting boring since it is very range bound for last 6 months.

There was a guy in theta gang who sold millions of calls (around 800 - 1000 as I recall)in MSTR post election when it was going way up to the 400 - 500s. His plan was to buy stock to make some fraction covered calls as it went up but I think he got margin called and lost millions.

Valuations are way too high on pretty much everything because stocks have become a get rich quick scheme to a large number of people. That's how shitty scam companies like MSTR, PLTR and to a lesser extent TSLA can attract so much investor money. Money which should have been invested in good, profitable companies with real solutions to problems we all face.

It's enough to retire in many countries in SE Asia. I personally wouldn't choose a high yield etf though unless maybe I was 65+. None of those ETFs have very good track records. The best ones have managed to preserve NAV but have little to zero dividend growth and on top of that you pay ordinary income tax. I am a couple years a away from being able to retire. 450 to 500k is my goal but the yield I am aiming for is more like 2% to 2.5%. Which would still provide enough income to live off in the Philippines. CNQ is the only high yield stock I own. The rest of my profile is growth. APO,BAM,BX,KKR,ARES,OWL,BLK,FRFHF, MSTR,TPL, and SOXQ. I changed my retirement strategy and shifted to more growth and more global exposure. I have friends living on 350 dollars a month in the Philippines so I will use that low cost of living to my advantage. Higher growth lower yield stocks will be painful in the short term but strong in the long term

I’m never gonna fault someone for being more risk averse, but that was the prevailing message 3 months ago and I’m up ~40% on NVDA, MSTR and almost 85% on RKLB. At the time, everyone was pulling out of US and going full pelt on EU defence like Rheinmetall which hasn’t seen the same growth.

Weird absence of MSTR which bought me a holiday home!
But whilst making cars on the predictable top boys, next best are MSTR, RR, Philip Morris, and a Nasdaq and S&P 500 tracker.

I refuse to buy any ETF that has TSLA or MSTR in it. So far I woul've done worse if I wasn't stock picking when compared to the popular ETFs.

It doesn’t matter too much with their returns is. They could lose 10%, or gain 50%. Of course it helps for sure if their total returns are 50% as aum goes up and new money will come in. Don’t get me wrong, they have funds that have made lots of money, but they ride the coattails of a hot underlying like MSTR. But its total returns all trail the underlying, but if the underlying is up 200%, YM finds a way to give 150% distribution payouts, people see a 150% payout and add funds. If that underlying doesn’t continue to grow like crazy, that distribution won’t be sustainable. The YM fund with the longest history is TSLY. Compare total returns to TSLA since inception and make your own determination of how these funds operate

MSTR och instrument kopplade till MSTR verkar ha stört/ätit av den tidigare rotationen till shit coins. Hela denna bransch ändrar sig.
