DODO is a decentralized exchange (DEX) that uses the Proactive Market Maker (PMM) algorithm built on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Focused on making DeFi liquidity more accessible, DODO's permissionless product suite consists of SmartTrade trading and aggregation, Crowdpooling/Initial DEX Offerings (IDOs), and liquidity pools and mining. According to its website, PMM features more capital-efficient liquidity pools compared to traditional automated market makers (AMM). It aims to support single-token provision, reduce impermanent loss, and minimize slippage. The product description of DODO is as follows: PMM: Centralized exchanges (CEX) often use an order-book model, in which market participants can either make market by posting limit orders, increasing liquidity of the orderbook, or 'take' the market by posting market order, decreasing liquidity of the orderbook. Early decentralized exchanges (DEX) such as Uniswap and SushiSwap did away with the orderbook, and opted for automated market maker in the form of constant function market makers (CFMMs) in which assets are pooled in 1:1 ratio. PMM allows the asset ratio and curve slope to be flexible. PMM uses price oracles to retrieve market prices of assets as input, and then aims to provide sufficient liquidity near the market price for every asset by proactively shifting the price curve such that it mitigates the risk for permanent loss by creating sufficient liquidity around market price. This method should result in lower slippage. SmartTrade trading and aggregation: Built on Ethereum and BSC, DODO enables trading between two arbitrary tokens on the same network. The SmartTrade feature aims to find the best order routing from aggregated liquidity sources to give traders the best prices. Crowdpooling: Users can distribute tokens and kick-off liquidity markets using Crowdpooling Pools: Liquidity providers can create and manage their own market making strategies through DODO Vending Machine and DODO Private Pool. This feature is a permissionless, non-custodial process, and users can customize various parameters in the pool to establish liquidity markets with pricing curves that suit their needs
