Yes, he has the same amount of btc valued less. Hence he has less BTC than what he could have in prior dates.
If he has now less than before, he lost money.
GL and HF, owned.

He has the same amount of BTC today that he did before when it was worth more USD. Nothing has changed except the exchange rate.
I should have known better than to argue with a 12-year-old noob. Have a nice day.

Every single XMR i've bought since I used to drone on about it here way earlier in the year is in profit. It's not a fabulous profit, but being up double - almost triple is still pretty good imo since i've been buying for around 3 years or so. I stopped buying after it started rallying though
Most of my other alts are okay (lots did bad, but most were either moonshots or just secondary investments), and my BTC stash is okay as well. What did you buy that knocked you down 60%?

I misunderstood your comment. OP is saying BTC is the best ETF and with that context you are suggesting it also has the lowest expense ratio, which is inaccurate when compared to the rest of the ETFs that exist (outside of BTC).

That has less to do with blackrocks revenues from it than you think.
Appreciation has certainly driven engagement. If BTC took a huge dive I bet engagement would as well. This recent dip doesn't count as a huge dive yet.

> Do you think we will ever see CRO at $1,000 per coin?
It's possible, if there were a fairly aggressive burn system.Unlikely though.
It's about supply and demand. CRO certainly has more utility than BTC, but it's also a much newer coin. Give it some time, and stack for now. Take advantage of interst.
I traded in my 1btc for CRO. I know exactly what I'm doing.

Which just means GME holds that much more wealth. Which is why I think we’re starting to see BTC nearing $90k.
If you look at the GME chart algorithm, you can see how the end of each “cycle” is tighter than an unbanana’d asshole the way the price bounces between $20-22 for months on end for example.
Now, BTC is going to be doing something similar because of it being tied in with GME via RC investing in it. If BTC goes up, GME should theoretically go up assuming the companies metrics are good otherwise. If BTC goes down, GME should technically also go down, but you can’t drop it too low because then you’ll have retail FOMO buying more (GME, that is).
This is a classic catch-22 if you’re a short hedge fund. A real rock and a hard place type deal.

Crypto was REALLY fun 6 years ago. Now all those tokens are locked away in cold storage. EVERYTHING I do now, crypto-related is inside my ROTH IRA. I'll happily pay 1% on buy/sell orders. And I'll also happily not give one solitary fck about Uncle Sam, as all of those actions trigger ZERO taxable events.
So -- full disclosure, I'm 10 years away from "retirement." One must be 59.5 years of age to withdraw from one's ROTH, tax-free, at no penalty. By the time this arrives for me, I'll have had 15+ years of investing inside of this vehicle. Just imagine where prices will be in a decade (I hodl the tried and true assets, not shit coins (and no anything but BTC is NOT a shitcoin). So, FOR ME, it is an absolute no-brainer.
For you younger gen folks. Please consider a ROTH IRA. Your future self will thank you, over and over and over and over.
Not a shill, and NOT financial advice. But I use iTrust Capital (got on board with them month 1 they were licensed, and that was 6 years ago). Hell, they now have premium custody where you can hodl your assets outside of an investment vehicle, i.e. cold storage. This is great for those who worry about storing theirs in a Ledger, Trezor, etc wallet.
Food for thought. No taxable events inside a ROTH IRA. Buy, sell, trade at your ❤️'s content.

"WBTC" (Ethereum wrapped) used to be supported by the Coinbase Exchange, it is a surprise to me if it doesn't anymore.
Was it Ethereum wrapped BTC or another Network? What Network did you send the WBTC to Coinbase?

tldr; Strategy, a major institutional Bitcoin holder with over 640,000 BTC, has stated it will only sell its Bitcoin holdings as a last resort, specifically if its mNAV ratio falls below 1 and access to capital dries up. This cautious approach aims to protect Bitcoin yield per share. The company continues to acquire Bitcoin despite market fluctuations, emphasizing its commitment to holding. However, concerns arise about the centralization of Bitcoin, with institutions and whales controlling significant portions, potentially deviating from Satoshi Nakamoto's original decentralized vision.

I kind of agree with him on this that the 4-year cycle is over. Mainly on the decrease amount of BTC in circulation as institutions and sovereign accounts buy and take BTC off exchanges.
But also because of this, institution’s risk on/off reallocation moves become more prominent, resulting BTC moving off of macro news more than the previous 4-year cycles. More speculative assets, like crypto, get reallocated first. Some overvalued companies, like some AI related ones, get reallocated 2nd off of macro news.

Would still be better than keeping the $1000 it would take to buy now for the next ten years.
I think it's extremely unlikely BTC would 10x vs the dollar and that the dollar would 1/10x its purchasing power in the same time frame. Today most of BTC price change is fluctuating BTC demand while a small portion is dollar devaluation. For that to happen BTC would have to not increase in demand at all for a full 10 years, all while the world reserve currency collapses, which seems extremely unlikely.
