We’ve already seen that happen before - if BTC goes down they just say ’Oh, the recovered funds weren’t enough to make everybody whole.‘ and wash their hands of it. Look at Celsius bankruptcy - wanted to value the Bitcoin at it’s absolute lowest, then at end of bankruptcy give back a fraction in BTC and they turned around and valued it at the higher value BTC had gone up to by then. Then they sued people who had withdrawn within the 3 months before Celsisus went bankrupt - and suddenly wanted to value it in today’s BTC. So, say you had withdrawn 1 BTC, and left 1 BTC. They wanted to keep your 1 BTC, value it at like 20k in dollar terms (not exact numbers here), later give you back like 0.1 BTC but talk about it in dollar terms to make it sound like more of a recovery, then demand you give them the other 1 BTC you withdrew so they can turn around and give you back 0.1 BTC of that too. (because you owe them in BTC in their minds but they owe you only in dollars at time of bankruptcy)
Bankruptcy law is really, really, bad in most countries when it comes to valuing crypto. The wild swings let companies pick and choose their time of declaring bankruptcy to coincide with what they think is the very bottom, then they can come out of bankruptcy when they think it’s at a high and claim everybody was ‘made whole’ while keeping the excess. (And if it keeps going down they just shrug and say oh well, then pay out even less to depositors). Judges seem to go right along with whatever as well - oh you want to value things at time of bankruptcy becaue BTC was lower then? That makes sense. Oh, now you want to value things in terms of BTC for those who withdrew before bankruptcy because now BTC has gone back up? I’m ok with that too.

10 years ago was right when Blockstream was in the midst of killing BTC.
It’s been nothing but a speculative corpse ever since (which is why the Banking Cartel and their government puppets are backing and hyping it now).
Luckily, the true vision has been moved forward by others (namely BCH, XMR, and possible Zaino).

1) They shore up their reserves when prices are down
2) They connect big sellers to big buyers for a small fee and market impact if the BTC was exchanged in two transactions rather than 1

The Gemini BTC credit card is amazing right now. They’re doing a 5% rewards on every purchase till Dec 3rd I think. I paid off a hefty bill this week, instantly got the notification $60 worth of BTC sent to my account. Feels dumb not to take advantage of 5% on everything. Good time to join.
I’m trying to get more referral rewards so here’s my referral link: Use my referral code to sign up for The Gemini Credit Card and get an extra $50 in crypto! Check out offer and benefits. https://creditcard.exchange.gemini.com/credit-card/apply?referral_code=9wnmgfdxd

Yeah Trump has been a crook long before he was president. You think he cares about BTC? He will pump and dump just like Musk.

They are just trying to (re)enforce their capital controls. The past few years post-COVID more and more wealthy Chinese have been wealth parking their money overseas. Recently it was in Japanese real estate.
China has strict controls on how much money can be sent out of the country each year and BTC was just another way for them to move money outside of the control of the central CCP government.

The Genesis Book by Aaron van Wirdum. Goes into the history of the technologies that went into Bitcoin (the only of which was new was the self adjusting difficulty). Explains it so a layman can understand. Also covers the monetary policy side and how "sound" money evolved from sea shells to gold to BTC.

BTC crash is not imminent. I think there is about 2-4 weeks. BTC might top 100k to excite the Bull and suck all the Bulls in for exit liquidity. The carry yen trade, repo market is active again, liquify squeeze might even crash gold and silver, Japan 10
And 30 year interest at ATH, Google just come out with new AI TPU chip that might make NVDA an Intel 2.0 of SI bubble, OpenAI, oracle, and Coreweave AI financing is on Shaky ground, private Credit bubble is blowing up, auto loan defaults is increasing, Real estate market is crashing, student loans default is going up’. Be carful holding things long term. I don’t have the crystal ball but there are just too many risks.

I've studied USDT.D, USDT, Bitfinex & IFinex for awhile now.
But what really happened was, Bitfinex didn't wanna give out customer data & never received the tokens back. USG Still holds them.

My personal belief is, Whales like "Spoofy" & others on Bitfinex, aren't actually customers (It is actually Bitfinex, Gian Carlo & Paolo doing these moves. If you don't believe me, overlay the Bitfinex long rate with BTC and see the inverse correlation.) Therefore, nothing to report or at-least a small percentage. There are some great court documents explaining this. \^

Bitfinex & Tether move the market a lot. Like a lotttt.. And if you don't understand, watch USDT.D while BTC rises & Drops. Tether prints USDT usually to Pump BTC in the bull, and burns it off after. This is why you see rapid peaks then rapid corrections.

Zcash is a premined coin, worthless! Monero is perfect but not supported. Litecoin is best option with MW you have privacy when needed and supported by everyone like BTC.

Hmm no? Did you read, you are right about the definition of a convertible note.
You are factually wrong about them having to sell their BTC, which is the point here, so you are totally wrong about this.
Try feeding it what ever you want, it's the same thing, just try instead of wasting your time here being wrong.

Dumpster fire, truly dreadful, want my 101?
Keep it simple, follow the money
crypto: BTC/USDC only
Equities/etfs (12-24mo IH): SPY/QQQ/IWM core, with somewhat speculative stock picking: lean value tech and ai adjacent companies with good bones and recent strong earnings growth, ideally in energy, utility, industrial as they will be the first to see revenue gains, regardless of the current state of the AI “bubble”.
Active Options (24hr IH): swing/day trade SPY/QQQ for 10%-50% gains on each trade
Passive Options (3-6 month): high volume, high liquidity names (think NVDA, TSLA, etc. ideally with stocks priced above $100) 50%-300% gain on each trade
Assuming your age as: 18-35

This place also has several dedicated lifelong buttcoiners/BTC haters who make it a point to stop by and use /cc like a punching bag any time it drops.
There's also a big concentration of people in this sub specifically that completely ignored Bitcoin for years in lieu of gambling with altcoins/memes because "they'll explode way higher when Alt Season arrives!" and like to lash out against Bitcoin, America, anything they can blame to not reconcile their poor decisions.
The same accounts being endlessly bearing are just the most dedicated trolls and destitute gamblers.
