WHAT?
According to you if BTC gives 10000% return from here then you can expect 30000% ROI from my model. I can bet on it. Because my model outperforms BTC by 3 multiples.

I sold my BTC when it was $3,900 back around '16/'17 to pay off a credit card... bad ROI but I didn't know what I didn't know at the time. It went up to $16k almost right after I sold.

Look at the BTC/ALT pair charts. There are times when. Alts outperform BTC

Historically, BTC has actually shown different volatility patterns on weekends compared to weekdays. Lower trading volume on weekends can sometimes lead to more significant price swings since markets are thinner. While institutional ETF trading does pause over weekends, the 24/7 crypto spot markets continue running, and arbitrage between these markets remains active. Weekend price action often sets the tone for Monday's institutional trading. Worth watching for these patterns!

Thankfully comfortable. But was a genesis ETH validator that cashed his chips out in January 2025. Plus again in 2021. So for me it’s work out great.
Now I leave a large position in a single Alt I have high conviction in.. if it works out. Great but equally if not.. 🤷🏼‍♂️..
For most just adding BTC steadily is the best bet.. 70-80%.. then the rest pick a few Alts.. that way.. you still capture the upside of both.. & if Alts wreck you.. which is let’s face it.. I high chance… you haven’t thrown out the baby with the bath water….

Very sad bull run… doubt the future bull cycles will interest anyone really. BTC won’t hit 200k unless the institutions push it there. Bitcoin isn’t what it once was.

Interesting topic, but needs context. If it's about Bitfinex hack recoveries, the US government seized ~94,000 BTC from hackers in Feb 2022, not "stole" them. They've been liquidating some since then.
Most state accusations against other states need skepticism. China has made several unverified claims about US operations in the past.
Worth remembering that blockchain transactions are public - if China has evidence of addresses involved, they could point to them. So far I haven't seen concrete blockchain evidence supporting this particular claim.

Forget BTC spot.
I developed a model based on BTC which outperforms BTC by many multiples. I am looking for buyers of the model.. I can say following the signals given by the model will not drain your account but it will give unimaginable profits. I just dont have enough money to invest in. But i managed to get 140% trading the model in 7 months.
If anyone is interested message me I will provide the model report.
For context if BTC dropped by 60% my model will only drop by 25%; and if BTC give 100% spot return my model will give around 400%.
Just message me. I will use the money to invest in the same model.

As someone who’s spent years trading and building tools for the markets, I’d say the security gap between a BitBox02 Multi and the Bitcoin-only version isn’t dramatic enough to justify switching unless you *really* want maximum minimalism. For long-term BTC DCA, what matters more is consistent cold-storage discipline than the model itself.

Any public AML site that just has a simple "enter all your BTC wallet info here and we'll give you a risk % score for free" are either a straight up scam or are a data harvester. I mean would you roll up to some ghetto financial analysis company that has a sign outside written in crayon and give them all of your banking/financial history so they can tell you if your moneys good or not ? lol.

Following.
OP I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve been reading up a lot on BTC lately and started buying BTCC etf through wealth simple. Going to continue to do so long term.
I’m not ready to buy BTC and store in a cold wallet. For some reason I just feel like I’ll fuck it up somehow. But I’ve been Buying BTC additionally through Wealth Simple. I know it’s expensive and there’s a 1.5-2% spread. But they manage all the keys for me. It also gives me the option to withdraw the BTC down the road to self custody (albeit with fees). But it will at least keep me exposed to the actual BTC when I decide to do it.
Going to continue to do so and aiming for BTC to be 10% of my portfolio for now.

I suggest relying on something like ***GoMining app*** for mining BTC without the hassle.
If you want to give it a try, I can provide you with my **Referral code** (you can find it on my Profile).
That grants you a 5% discount on 1st miner purchase.
Cheers.

This thread is going to entice a lot of emotional side-taking, but being given a free chunk of BTC is exactly the kind of fantasy situation that *should* assuage a lot of concerns.
Let’s put it another way:
Would you accept $35k cash right now (that’s your take minus taxes) or $45k worth of a speculative stock like RKLB?
Since I didn’t pay a dime for it, I’ll roll the dice. Could change my life. $35k won’t change anything.
