Maybe use BTC as collateral when you need some big purchase?

Play puts and call on precious metals and miners are dangerous. I just buy leverage ETF and exit if market turn. There are just too many variables to play options. This crypto uptrend is a dead cat bounce. I am waiting for rebound top to buy the short ETF. My research indicate the next BTC down going to be brutal.

Sounds like a plan. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. First, BTC is so limited if you can't make the open channel tx you also won't be able to make the swapping tx. I don't even know if you could do atomic swaps between BTC and BCH with BTCs limited OP Codes. BCH and XMR have atomic swaps.
Second. BCH is Bitcoin and has the same SoV properties. Once people swap into BCH and see it is useful there is no need to swap back. What blurs that realization today is branding and an army of maxis hating on BCH.
But as long as demand for BTC transactions is low you can do this. I think Throrswap offers BTC and BCH and is decentralized.

I think it was more a matter of waiting for the market cap to grow large enough they one could sell that much and not crash the market and therefore the price.
Some had enough BTC that the market price would crash before they could ever sell all they had.

Then XRP, SOL and maybe HBAR.

The real world is Solana. Didn’t saw a single person mention this one. I would stick with BTC and Sol (80%-20%) ration just to be safe.

Ah, the classic pattern-based prediction! I've seen so many of these over the years. What's your methodology here? I remember in 2017 when people were drawing triangles saying BTC would hit $100k by 2020. These predictions are fun but always take them with a mountain of salt. Which pattern are you looking at specifically?

That book he wrote was the one everyone over on r/bitcoin tells to read. They think it is the most revolutionary book ever written. I read it, it was utter crap. Terribly written, opinionated, everything he didn’t like in the world from modern art, literature (even Britney Spears) and every civilisation that ever went down hill, he blamed on going off the gold standard or equivalent.
It did more to turn me off BTC than everything else. Then I read Hijacking Bitcoin and everything suddenly made sense.
He’s not a very smart cookie.

Nobody knows the public key, so it’s safe from quantum computers. The whole point of BTC is that these addresses must never be used. Even if I would regret it, I would destroy the file (if there was wallet.dat on it, seed phrase didn’t exist at the time anyway)

In short sharpe is >3 ; and monthly average return is around 10% over the past 46 months.

21 BTC is probably enough to call it quits, otherwise just keep stacking.

My daily DCA is $30. If I was doing that 13 years ago I’d be buying 2 BTC a day. Oh well.

Trump’s back on the mic saying the US is on track to be the *crypto capital of the world* — pointing to Bitcoin reserves, pro-crypto exec orders, and friendly regulator picks as proof the sector is just getting started.
CT is busy arguing policy while my BTC feels bullish and my alt bags (hi LINK, RENDER) are still bleeding since inauguration. If DC actually follows through, that’s trillions in future liquidity pointing straight at-risk assets… but the market is still treating it as another campaign meme.
I’m just here holding and watching to see if “crypto capital of the world” ever shows up in my portfolio.

Hey everyone I’ve been doing a bunch of Uniswap V4 LPing lately (mainly BTC/USDC + ETH/USDC) and was getting tired of tracking everything in spreadsheets.
I really loved the experience of Poolfish but it didn’t support V4, so I hacked together a small dashboard for my own use. It shows things like:
• daily fee income and APR
• in-range vs out-of-range
• gains/losses from your original entry
• and it can include perp hedge income if you use Coinbase like I do
It doesn’t require wallet connect or anything like that.
You just paste your uniswap position URL + your entry size/date.
I’m hoping to get feedback from other LPs since I know a lot of you have better workflows and ideas than I do. If anyone wants to try it and share thoughts, here’s the link:
