Bitcoin makes every great investor look dumb every time. We have seen this on both sides of BTC.

Ask them "If you could buy 1 BTC for 1000 usd and imidatly after that you can do whatever you want with it, even sell it would you?"
If they say yes they agree it worth atleast 1000usd. If they say no they are either stupid or not arguing in good faith.

Unlimited faucet and BTC pools sound like a fun crypto grind dice and slots with treasure boxes could keep things rolling.
Claim faucets during low-vol hours for max value; set bet limits to avoid chasing losses; verify site provability for fair rolls; share pools wisely to build community vibes.
For decentralized twists, BlockX might vibe, or peek at blockxfun for XGAME token sale.

You have a decent bag of BTC, but don’t have money to diversify with only two assets…?

>I don't follow. Why does company ownership mean people won't self custody?
Yes, because it is the wrong way round. The problem is not companies owning Bitcoin, not at all. My argument goes like this:
Because BTC is crippled and cannot be used as self-custodial p2p cash Companies adopt it before people. (otherwise it would be the other way around)
>And why is self custody so necessary?
Because it is at the core of every Bitcoin feature.
>Anything can be provided as a service, bitcoin custody included.
Yes, but then it is not Bitcoin, it is just an IOU and that's exactly the same as today's FIAT.
> Anything can be provided as a service, bitcoin custody included. Can't see how you'd prevent that either. And I don't see it being a huge problem.
You "prevent" it by scaling Bitcoin so usage and self custody is as easy as it gets. Imagine a world without private cars, all you have are cabs. That's today's financial landscape. Imagine the freedom when you can suddenly own a car and drive where ever you want whenever you want.
>To me the greatest benefits of bitcoin are: the democratization of money, providing access to real property to everyone, killing the incumbent corrupt middle men we call the finance industry, and taking away the artificial stimulus of inflation that creates a materialistic 'throw away' mindset that harms us and the planet. Self custody isn't needed for that.
Self-custody is absolutely needed for that.
- "democratization of money" Where is the democracy when you depend on custodians again? There is no difference to FIAT
- "providing access to real property to everyone" You don't have access if you can't self custody. you just have a right that custodian may follow or the stat may change
- "killing the incumbent corrupt middle men" I mean this is basically the synonym of "transacting without a third person" Which is only possible with self custody and a scaling blockchain.
- "and taking away the artificial stimulus of inflation" If the coins are not held in self custody it is easy for every custodian to inflate the supply. I mean this isn't rocket science. CEXes are already doing it. A custodian can show as many coins to their customers as they want, while they sell or gamble away the real coins they received, that's inflation too.
So you see every point of your argument hinges on the fact that people can take control of their own wealth and can transact without the ACK from a custodian.

Dude!  Chill!  You can do both if you want. I do. I buy an ETF inside my tax-free savings account because native BTC is not available for purchase in that vehicle and I buy native BTC outside that vehicle which I hold in cold storage. If you’re nervous about the whole wallet and keys business just try it out with a small sum until you get used to it. Go with something simple like Muun Wallet for starters. Its not anywhere near as scary as detractors against holding bitcoin in a self-sovereign manner pretend it is. And, if it freaks you out, you can stop using it and stick with the ETF.

No, blackrock does not own BTC for the sake of them believing it's a store of value. They invest 80 billion into BTC and loan it to us via ETFs. It's a profit source for them, that's all.
Governments like El Salvador are buying it solely to cash out back into fiat leaving us to hold the bag.

I think it will also go down and retest the 75k area..... Then buyers will come in again....
It'll go back up to ATH and keep going over the years. BTC is finite. When all 21m coins are mined it can only go up.... Historically speaking anyways.

Sure but the allocations are inherently subjective. If someone is more fearful around the stability of the money system they’d load up on those assets.
No rational person should ever allocate everything to BTC/gold but how you define “meaningful” percentage is different to every investor based on their market outlook/risk tolerance.

Ich persönlich würde alles in BTC reinbuttern. Auch wenn ein Bitcoin von jetzigen 90k $ wieder auf 120k$ steigt dann hast du fast 40% mehr. So würde ich machen, es ist kein Ratschlag

So in the end you need money to use the value stored in your BTC wallet. Wasn't the point to avoid using money?

I've been watching $GPUS. seems to be recovering. Has volume. They invest in $LMFA who mines $BTC.
