I struggle to understand why anyone should allocate meaningful capital to BTC (or gold) vs equities? Equities (broad indexes) is also an inflation hedge, and has the added benefit of producing cash flows, meaning that it by definition will outperform non-productive assets such as gold and BTC over time. This has been true for gold, and will be true for BTC at some point in the future. I.e. it will be rational to reallocate more or less all funds from BTC to equities as soon as one suspects that the curve is flattening.

Ok, but as long as there's freedom to instantly get fiat using BTC, it's the same.

No arguing that. It’s a hell of a lot less volatile though, meaning it solves the store of value question a lot better. At the end of the day, while the BTC bros yell store of value, what they really want is number go up. Two very different things. And it hasn’t done either very well this year.

Every SoV has a different use cas. That is what makes the SoV emerge in the first place. You cannot claim initial use case SoV because that is just a pyramid.
Bitcoins use case is perfectly described in the Whitepaper, yet BTC got hijacked and crippled because that use case was to dangerous: Transacting without a third party.

Not really. Bitcoin native lending doesn't exist afaik. As a chain it's too slow for L1 apps to be built on it.
That means you'll have to use a centralized option or side chain.
Centralized chains can implode.. see Celsius last cycle.
Side chains have other risks and require wrapped BTC.
AAVE with WBTC is going to be one of your safer options. It's among the largest and most trusted protocols.

Great. If I go out of my way and are happy to use one or two companies out of millions, I could use BTC. Assuming the transaction works. And no one else wanted to transact that day.

Idiotic argument.
That's the whole point. With a tiny amount of BTC in the future you will be able get huge amounts of dollar. And that is better than few amounts of dollar, even considering inflation.

I would open a fidelity account, buy BTCI WEEKLY, take the monthly dividends and buy BTC in a fidelity crypto account. Once you have several thousand in BTC you could move it to cold storage as your savings account. Wash and repeat.

When Q3 ended BTC was at ~$110k which equals an approximate loss of $9.5 million for Q3.

That drop to 80K BTC was wild, but the bounce was fast.

If you're us⁤ing Cash App, [Jackbit](https://jackbitify.com) has been the smoothest for me - deposit BTC straight from Cash App and withdrawals hit back in under an hour. Use code **SP⁤IN100** when you sign up, they toss you 100 wager-free spins which is solid for testing the waters.

The wheels fall off the bus once people realize BTC going from $90k to $900k isn't as easy as it was to go from $9k to $90k and there's actually easier ways on the stock market / other places to get safer better returns.

Do you understand that all of the BTC in government custody is seized from fraudsters and will be sold on the market sooner or later, right?
It's not like all these countries are accumulating BTC because they believe in it.
