Highjacking this because you still refuse to answer my question.
Send me something of value right now, and I’ll hypothetically pay you in whatever currency you want to match that value so that you’re not at a loss.
I live 1000 miles from you, I don’t have access to standard banking for a few reasons, make sure it’s not possible to double spend this value, I also need this “thing of value” to be indestructible because I want it to last my lifetime.. I’ll wait.
You said it yourself, value is subjective. The above is not and I see value in the above.
In reality what i truly see value in is the inability to debase BTC and its ease of storage and protection. I would love gold but I can’t carry around bars of gold nor do I trust myself to protect a safe full of it from my potentially dangerous government. There’s also no way to verify golds supply, any nation could have massive amounts stored away off books which could in theory devalue the float.

Do you guys really not know this guy? I hate to burst your bubbles guys, he turned out to be one of the most wrong crypto youtubers out there. He actually started his youtube channels many years ago (about 2020 from memory). And he basically called the direction wrong from 2022 all the way to 2024. He was hellbent (and downright cocky) that btc was going to crash to $8k. And when he ultimately turned out very wrong as BTC just kept pumping to over $100k, get this.....HE DELETED ALL HIS VIDEOS and started from scratch.
Yep thats right. He deleted all the evidence. And all his social media comments are disabled cause hes trying to prevent getting exposed.
Stay away from him. He's a scammer who begs for donations 😂

If the amount you're investing is a meaningful enough, then spend a little more time and learn about the "why" of BTC. Too many focus on the $$.
Once you understand the "why", you'll worry litte about seeing it go up and down.
100% of buyers who held for a min of 4 years are in the green. It doesn't matter when you board the train. Just get on the train, hold and go make yourself a sandwich.

I went to prison from 2012 to 2017. I had a silk road account with a few bitcoin on it. If only I moved it to a wallet... I spent lots of BTC on that site when it was $5. I'm sure there are a few small time drug dealers that were locked up longer than me and got a nice multimillion dollar payday when the got out.

LOTS of excellent advice in your post...WOW. I would only add that investing in a spot BTC ETF is preferable to some, and there is nothing wrong with that. Let Merrill Lynch or Fidelity or whatever investment brokerage one uses deal with safely holding the BTC...also great for Roth IRA accounts.

If $500 BTC is given as a gift in the U.S. the cost basis is what the “giver” paid for it, the “receiver” if they sell it paid tax only on their gain.
A gift up to $19k doesn’t have to be reported by the giver and receiving a gift isn’t a taxable event. It’s only a taxable event if it’s sold.
Ex: I receive it from the giver and they paid $500 for it. If I sell it for $500 I owe $0 tax. If I sell it for $600 I owe tax on $100 assuming they pad $500 for it. If they paid $300 for it I owe tax on $300 if I sell for $600.
How long the giver and receiver held the BTC for also is a factor. More than a year is considered a long term cap gain and usually taxed lower, less than a year it’s taxed like ordinary income which could be higher.

They have 2 BTC of mine. Support said it was a mistake and they will fix my balance but I haven’t seen it happen. All documented and a press release will be soon by my attorney if not resolved

Put it on the fridge with a magnet, so I don't lose it.
Why should anyone involved with BTC at its creation have used floppy discs? BTC is really not that old.

A cheap and relatively easy route is buying a virtual credit card with BTC. You can't withdraw bills from an ATM with a virtual card, but most cards can be added to google/apple wallet and used everywhere.

Probably chuckle to myself laughing at whoever wrote that on a floppy considering BTC wallet addresses didn't start using seeds until 2012. And to my knowledge the majority (if not all) of the potential Satoshi wallets all used the original bitcoin core wallet format. Seeds didn't come into play until they started using BIP32 & BIP39.

I think everything you mentioned aside from maybe XRP has potential. And XRP may, I just don't personally trust them. RWA is no doubt going to be a thing, it's just going to take time. BTC, ETH, and LINK have been and currently are 90% of my crypto portfolio. They are not for sale. I bought XRP and SOL at the right time so I'm still up hundreds of % at current prices but, they are for sale at the right price. SOL is not ETH.

Why do I have to ‘beat’ anything?
I trade Doge. I trade BTC. I trade Ethereum. And a bunch of other stuff. Heck, I even trade things that aren’t crypto.
What do I care which ones ‘beat’ which other ones? Nobody ever went broke making a profit, nor did they really care how they made those profits.
My crypto owes me a big fat ZERO. My entire holdings cost me nothing at all, thanks to all those small profits stacking up. And I’ve never bailed out of anything, unlike all the desperate Hopium-smoking wannabes who are just looking to cut and run at the earliest opportunity.
It’s all about attitude.

BTC been grinding for a few days now but be careful. May grind higher or lower. Next is wait for the fed meeting. This has been the year of disruptions. BTC needs a catalyst and if Congress ever gets off their as-es and passes the clarity act that will be a big step forward when it comes to merging into the financial systems. Right now it's a bit of wait and see. Plus stack sats. 🤑

the point of buying altcoins is to gamble responsibly, not to invest. Every altcoin chart you mentioned is basically a cardiogram. That pattern exists because alts pump when liquidity is stupid and dump when reality returns. BTC looks like an upward staircase because it’s the only one institutions, governments, and polymarket traders consistently treat like a durable asset. Everything else momentum plays with expiration dates
