LTC was getting sold off for BTC years before the Doge merge mine. That's a significant plot twist in your current theory. Merge mining has in no way suppressed or limited LTC price appreciation. The Doge pump from Musk came well before the merge mine also. The bag that Charlie sold off from his initial mining efforts to ensure network viability was nothing compared to the LTC miners collectively selling off for BTC. Charlie's only mistake in my mind is making 84 million LTC...should have been 63 or 42. That 4x supply against BTC takes a lot longer to soak up.

$DOG (Bitcoin meme coin) Has Upside Potential
Here are some reasons people are excited about $DOG, the meme coin built on the Bitcoin blockchain (Runes Protocol):
⸻
1. Bitcoin Security & Brand
Since it lives on Bitcoin, $DOG benefits from the most secure and decentralized blockchain. That sets it apart from most other meme coins.
2. Fair Launch & Community First
• No premine
• No team allocation
• 100% airdropped to the community
This gives $DOG strong grassroots support and avoids the classic “dev dump” issue.
3. Fixed Supply (100B)
Everyone knows the total supply upfront. No hidden inflation, no surprises.
4. Growing Interest
Some institutions and public companies have already started accumulating, which helps with legitimacy and liquidity.
5. Tied to Bitcoin’s Momentum
When Bitcoin does well, $DOG can ride the wave since it’s Bitcoin-native. Strong BTC = more attention on $DOG.
6. Meme Power + Community Hype
Like all meme coins, community + virality matter. $DOG is already picking up speed as “the Dogecoin of Bitcoin.”
7. Accessible Speculation
It’s cheap enough for small investors to grab a bag and hope for outsized gains — the same recipe that has fueled other meme runs.
8. Different From the Rest
Most meme coins live on Ethereum or Solana. $DOG is Bitcoin-native, which gives it a unique narrative in a crowded market.
⸻
TL;DR:
$DOG = Meme coin + Bitcoin security + Fair launch + Strong community + Fixed supply.
Not financial advice, but the upside case is clear.

If it's that easy, then everyone will do it. BTC go up and down like crazy so if you don't have a strong heart, then you'll get just a heart attack lol.
Anyway, next month should be a very bullish month for BTC, so if you want to trade BTC, then just buy and HOLD but becareful for next year because everyone 4 years or so then BTC will be in a bear-market. This time TACO and the White Hluse backed BTC, so maybe it will change....who knows!

Real estate is definitely a safer bet for steady growth, especially if you want to sleep at night. BTC can be a wild ride, and it's easy to get caught up in the hype. Diversifying your investments might save you from sleepless nights when the market dips.

I’m brand new to stocks. Please don’t crucify me.
Are there literally people out there single handedly day trading BTC and making thousands? It seems to me like it would be pretty easy if you have the capital… obviously not *easy* but you get my question

Always Bitcoin, and some ETH. I invested in way too many bad projects early on and learned the hard way, but Bitcoin and ETH have never burned me. I'm really into GoMining right now; if you're interested, there's a promo code in my bio. It's what I'm recommending to new people because it's so user friendly and you don't need to know anything about crypto, so it's an easy way to gradually accumulate. But I would also set a recurring buy for $10 of BTC a week (or whatever amount of money you wouldn't miss) on CashApp or another easy platform without high fees.

Studies show that lump sum investing outperforms dribs and drabs. Especially on a volatile asset like BTC.

You don’t cash out Bitcoin. There is no centralized exchange that owners can convert their BTC into a set fiat number. BTC is an asset that you sell or exchange, not cash out. It’s not like casino chips

I see a lot of anti-crypto threads here. I stack silver/gold and btc. Dollar value does not matter. 1 BTC = 1 BTC and 1oz = 1oz. Stop comparing everything to USD when everyone on this sub bets on its total collapse.

Take a deep breath and learn more about BTC. First of all stop the bullshit, we hate teenagers that can’t read a piece of paper and create topics on social media. IG is a forex broker trading platform. You are asking which is the best way to buy a chicken shawarma in a vegetarian restaurant. You will buy BTC in a oficial exchange (Kraken etc) or in a p2p marketplace (non-KYC such as Hodlhodl etc). You need to withdraw those satoshis to a wallet (hardware wallet for lazy novice like you). If you are impatient for that process, just fuck off and buy some flapjacks on the off licence and shut up.

$KMD has a good DEX with Atomic Swaps, you'll want to use BTC SegWit for lower swap fees, since it is onchain swaps.

ETH/BTC.
ETH vs BTC chart kind of looks like ETH died, I thought we’d see all this activity and utility on ETH building out have it catch up to BTC. Always trailing but not a percent of BTC

Cryptos like ETH and BTC are indeed less or equally volatile than stocks (even stock indexes) with ETH reporting 0.49% of change after a whole day and BTC 1.4% that on a good day.
No benefit for promoting crypto bro otherwise I would have put my referral code.
I think by 5k capital I meant how less margin is required to buy futures compared to futures on the stock market.
If you don't want to don't want to.

My belief is more people will get rekt this round than 2017 and 2021 combined.
Institutions now hold 12.5% of all the BTC in the world.
There is no level of manipulation greater than this upcoming euphoria. It will be bigger and crazier than 2017 and 2021, beyond worldly imaginations.
Wall Street and institutions will drive the price up trillions of dollars as the Ai race continues. Lots of retail will get destroyed.
