Then you should maybe get more familiar with the BTC ecosystem? Like commenting on the Apple sub that you've never heard of an iPhone.
Or phrase it differently. You could *ask* about MSTR, or, you know..google it?

Hey! Here’s my take on your plan:
1. Crypto allocation: For long-term growth and fewer headaches, I’d just stick to BTC. BTC is the “reserve” crypto and has the strongest track record. ETH, SOL, LINK are fun, but they’re highly volatile and speculative. Spreading small amounts across them doesn’t really reduce risk it just adds complexity.
2. Stock/ETF allocation: Your stock side is already very tech-heavy QQQ (30%), SPMO (25%), SMH (20%) so 75% of your stock allocation is tech/growth. That’s aggressive, which is fine if that’s your goal, but just know it’s extremely correlated. If tech crashes, most of your stock allocation will take a hit.
3. NLR and SGOV: Nice touches for niche exposure and some safety/cash. Nothing major to complain about here.
Summary of blind spots:
- Too much altcoin exposure small amounts, but risky and unnecessary for long-term growth.
- Tech concentration your stock ETFs are all tech-heavy, so the portfolio isn’t as diversified as it might seem.
If it were me:
- Cut altcoins down to just BTC, or leave a tiny portion for “gambling money.”
- Maybe allocate 20–30% to a broader ETF (like VT or VOO) to balance the tech-heavy tilt.
Also, side note: your portfolio is super aggressive even after my suggested changes, so be ready for volatility and don’t panic sell.
————————————————————————
Here is my quick guide how to navigate markets backed by facts and stats NOT feelings.
If you are in US Open Roth IRA ASAP and try to max out (7K/Year). Roth IRA you are NOT taxed on capital gains! If not in US figure out if you have any tax advantage accounts and better than taxable brokerage account.
Pick a portfolio according to risk tolerance Invest in ETF like VT (global market) or VOO (US market). As long as world economy keeps growing and fiat currencies keep loosing purchasing power (inflation) VT will go up forever. If you can handle risk add some QQQ for more tech exposure. Tech has had largest gains over last 10y and doesn’t look like that is changing. US is building out entire tech infrastructure for the west.
Low risk: 100% VT (global market)
Med risk: 80/20 VT/QQQ (global market & tech)
High risk: 50/50 VT/QQQ (global market & tech)
Pick whatever fits your risk. Low risk portfolio can drop historically 40% and high risk 60%. Statistically they always have recovered.
Open broker account fidelity (or IBRK) good in US be sure to pick Roth IRA when opening. Search for ticker VT in broker app. Select number of shares and market order. Confirm order and you own ETF.
Buy always and plan to hold min 10Y. Statistically trying to time market never works. Never panic sell unless 10Y hold mark is reached. Drawdowns are normal and part of investing.
Side note: Statistics show short term trading will always loose you money. 95% of short term traders loose. >93% of hedge funds (short term trading experts) don’t beat VT over 10y.
Investing isn’t hard people just like to make it difficult.
This is educational content pick what fits your risk profile and situation. VT, VOO, QQQ are examples, not the only way. Choose what fits your goals, risk tolerance, and location.

Volatility is only vitality if the asset has no other use (like money), otherwise the utility driven demand would smooth out the volatility as adoption increases. This is how you know BTC is a useless cripplecoin even if nobody ever explained it to you.

Get a consumer loan and don't sell your BTC.
You just need 3k, it's not a big amount.

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to dollar-cost average (DCA) **$5,000 per month** into the following portfolio. My goal is aggressive long-term growth, but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking any major blind spots regarding concentration risk.
Here is the breakdown:
**Total Monthly Contribution: $5,000**
**🚀 Crypto Allocation: 15% ($750)**
* **BTC:** $400 (8%)
* **ETH:** $200 (4%)
* **SOL:** $100 (2%)
* **LINK:** $50 (1%)
**📈 Stock/ETF Allocation: 85% ($4,250)**
* **QQQ (Nasdaq 100):** $1,500 (30%)
* **SPMO (S&P 500 Momentum):** $1,250 (25%)
* **SMH (Semiconductors):** $1,000 (20%)
* **NLR (Nuclear Energy):** $250 (5%)
* **SGOV (Short-term Treasury/Cash):** $250 (5%)
**My specific questions for the community:**
1. **Overlap Risk:** I realize QQQ, SMH, and SPMO likely have significant overlap (especially with NVDA and big tech). Is this concentration too dangerous for a long-term hold?
2. **Crypto Exposure:** Is 15% generally considered too high for a portfolio already heavy on volatile tech stocks?
3. **NLR:** I'm bullish on nuclear energy as a sector play. Does anyone have experience with NLR vs. URA?
4. **Safety Net:** Is the 5% SGOV even worth it here, or should I just go 100% equity/crypto?
Any feedback or roast is welcome. Thanks!

I'm down $26,000 this month on BTC. Couldn't care less. People need to zoom out or stop gambling short term.

It is not, but people whine about being $100-200 down and realistically, the real holders of BTC or any crypto or proxy of such, will need to stomach being down on their investment.
I am around £3000 down now on MSTR..... Still not phased.

I hate sideways. I’ve set buy stops on lower prices and I’m probably the minority that wishes BTC would go down so I can stack sats. I know as much as the rest which is nothing but my gut tells me we will go down once more before the rally starts EOY
