I think of my portfolio in two buckets - the cashflow bucket and the long term hold bucket.
For cashflow IDGAF if the price goes up or down. I just try to find ranges that work for as long as possible and if they pop out of range for a while no big deal. I plan to hold ETH long term so if I get converted into ETH 100% that's fine. If ETH goes on a run, I rebalance. "oh but you could have just kept ETH". Maybe yes, maybe no. Again, IDGAF. I want cash flow from this bucket.
For the LTH bucket, I'm taking daily LP profits and throwing them onto the pile. Usually a few hundred thousand sats a day. The number may go up or down in USD terms, but it's always going up in BTC terms.

This has blown me up before. BTC shows the right setup for making a given move up or down, then stabilizes. When assessing why, usually it's just that I was wrong but *sometimes* I was right and value of the dollar made the shift instead.

I do $50 every 2 weeks. Auto buy. After 2 months I move it into my Ledger to get it off an exchange. I've had this set in place since 2022. Very, VERY happy with the results.
Side note: I also keep very detailed spreadsheet with purchase date, amount, how much BTC I get and what BTC was at, at the time of purchase.

Yeah, I definitely wasn’t being super precise with my numbers. It was more of a rough order estimate, just to get a feel for what seemed feasible. I don’t think you can the market cap diluted to today’s circulation though, if that had been the circulation then, the price of BTC would have lower, just like how if 20 million new BTC suddenly appeared today, the price would take a massive dump and you wouldn’t be creating a couple trillion dollars worth of value out of nothing.
Nvidia is actually the exact counterexample I was thinking of. The performance of Nvidia over the last couple years is kind of a wild historical anomaly though. I don’t think you’ve ever had a company of that scale grow their revenues as quickly as Nvidia did during that time frame. That was a direct consequence of the data center boom though which was an unprecedented catalyst.

Don't be ridiculous! That won't be till 2028-2029. I'm predicting BTC hits $35-80M by 2035.

BTC didn't get that much marketing, I mean Elon pushed for doge. That's pretty big marketing.
I wouldn't say luck too. I mean what kind of luck did BTC had?
I mean there are many future better BTC that already came out. I showed a few samples. And I'm sure theres more.
The idea that Satoshi is gone. There's no more centralized command. Makes it unique. Unless someone create a limited amount count and dies.
Also it was intentionally made in a way where it's not super efficient but with balance of proof of work difficulty. That balance is hard to achieve.

BTC’s supply was about 16.5 million in September 2017, giving it a market cap of roughly $74.25 billion at $4,500 per BTC. Since then, supply has grown by about 32.17%, which would put today’s equivalent market cap near $98.14 billion.
ETH’s supply, meanwhile, has been reduced by DATs and ETFs - something Bitcoin didn’t have in 2017 - partially offsetting BTC’s lower starting market cap. And it’s worth noting that BTC has significantly outperformed ETH over the past few years despite its much larger market cap, showing that size isn’t always a limiting factor.
Consider Nvidia as an example: its market cap was around $550 billion in February 2023, nearly quadrupled to $2.3 trillion within 12 months, and then grew by another $1 trillion in just three months.
But I get your point - good post.

Let's say you have USD balance, selecting BTC/USD → Buy will buy Bitcoin with your USD. If you select BTC/USD → Sell, then you’re selling Bitcoin back for USD

I moved ALL of today’s BTC profit into ETH. The data is crystal clear, massive transfers by whales, same wallets from BTC to ETH. ETH will clearly outperform any and all stablecoin applications.
Exciting time to be alive.

i'm starting to believe you're serious. gj. okay. imagine if BTC had a 210 million supply cap. there could ever only be 210m BTC. Each coin would be worth 11.7k USD. Because the only thing that changed was the location of the decimal point. All the BTC in the world would still add up to a value of 2.3 trillion dollars. It would function the exact same. are you telling me that the reason BTC is valuable is because the location of the decimal point?

Right. But isn't that mostly just luck, or marketing, or advantageous alignment of events? A future better BTC may well fare much better if the right factors align at the right time.

So apparently the dollar shit coin has been falling even further lately, which gives us another opportunity to test our BTC/EUR *coincidences*.
Resistance of 100k euro would be at about $118.6 as it stands, but, y'know what are the *chances*?

-BTC is higher beta than stocks, if they trade “jittery” post Jpow than BTC will be hmm hyper “jittery”
-15% of float is not heavily shorted
-I like the gamma squeeze potential and feel the stock shouldn’t be this off highs.. however gamma Sqz is what shot it to its ATHs over span of a week back in Nov.

That's any crypto that can be sold on the other end, be it BTC, ETH, SHIB, whatever. And most do it faster than native Bitcoin.

Absolutely worth it. In fact, your plan is exactly how many long-term Bitcoin holders build serious wealth without trying to time the market.
Yes, BTC is past $100k now, but zoom out: the *hard cap of 21M* coins hasn’t changed, while global adoption is still in the early innings. Governments, institutions, corporations, and individuals are all slowly waking up to the reality that Bitcoin is the hardest, scarcest money ever created.
A 10x over 10–15 years is actually *huge* for an asset that has no counterparty risk, no dilution, and sits at the center of the financial system being rebuilt around it. And honestly, 10x may even be conservative if nation-state adoption, global settlement, or further institutional inflows accelerate.
By DCAing monthly, you’re hedging against short-term volatility while consistently stacking an asset with long-term asymmetric upside. $500 a month over 15 years is $90,000 in fiat. If Bitcoin even does a conservative 5–10x, you’re looking at life-changing money — and that doesn’t even factor in occasional bigger buys.
Think of it less as “speculating for a 10x” and more as *securing your share of the 21M before everyone else catches on.* Over the next 10/20 years, there’s nothing else with the same scarcity, decentralization, and adoption curve.
If you’re already leaning maxi, you see it: Bitcoin is the center of the ecosystem. Mining, treasuries, proxies — all roads lead back to BTC. DCAing long-term is one of the purest strategies there is.
