>You can draw your own conclusion about what that means. If you find this ridiculous/uncomfortable, congrats, you noticed you have cognitive dissonance
Sorry what beliefs are in dissonance? That the market values BTC highly but other cryptos / forks improve transactions issues of btc?
Doesn't the low valuation of examples like BCH and BSV compared to BTC show the market doesn't care for transaction utility? There must be something else keeping BTC high. Not knowing what, I threw out the idea that it might just be because it was first.

But what's the argument for holding the company stock that's valued much higher than just holding BTC on your own? The argument I was given was that he can borrow at a lower interest rate than normal investors and therefore get more BTC for less money.
If he's not borrowing money why not just buy BTC directly for cheaper?

There will be no interest rate cut in December, and the pressure is still there.BTC The impact on the whole market tends to be "The impact on the whole market tends to be "F2".The long-term value remains unchanged, but the market's caution will lead to a lack of liquidity.

Nov. 21, 2021 BTC Closing Price: $58,730.48
|Date|Open|High|Low|Close |Adj Close |Volume|
|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|
|Nov 21, 2021|59,730.51|60,004.43|58,618.93|58,730.48|58,730.48|26,123,447,605|
Nov. 21, 2025 BTC Closing Price: $85,090.69
|Date|Open|High|Low|Close |Adj Close |Volume|
|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|
|Nov 21, 2025|86,528.77|87,380.80|80,659.81|85,090.69|85,090.69|129,157,506,112|
**2021 BTC Block Reward:**
6.25 BTC × $58,730.48 = **$367,065.50**
**2025 BTC Block Reward:**
3.125 BTC × $85,090.69 = **$265,908.40**
Because miners’ electrical and infrastructure costs rise with inflation, you have to look at the **inflation-adjusted** value of the 2021 block reward.
From 2021 (average) to Sep. 2025, cumulative inflation is **19.87%** (≈4.44%/yr).
Inflation-adjusted 2021 block reward:
**$367,065.50 x 1.1987 = $440,001.41**
So when you compare apples to apples (2021 dollars → 2025 dollars), BTC miners are now receiving **about $174,000 less per block** than they did four years ago.
If you zoom out and average the closing BTC price each day of the year, you’ll see the trend even more clearly. This is a useful way to evaluate whether BTC mining remains feasible. Transaction fees contribute only a tiny amount, so miners depend almost entirely on the block reward - and that reward continues shrinking with halvings while their costs keep rising.

Hello,
I'm trying to replicate the spot grid trading strategy in Python. ChatGPT gave me some suggestions, but I don't think they are correct.
price_list = [20500, 20450, 20350, 20550, 20600, 20400, 20700, 20850, 20950, 21050, 20900, 20800]
lower_bound = 20000
upper_bound = 21000
grid_size = 200

open_price = price_list[0]
btc_balance = 0
usd_balance = 10000
buy_prices = []

for price in price_list:
# 跳过区间外的价格
if price < lower_bound or price > upper_bound:
continue

# 买入条件:第一次是 open_price,之后是 open_price - n*grid_size
if (len(buy_prices) == 0 and price == open_price) or \
(len(buy_prices) > 0 and price <= open_price - len(buy_prices) * grid_size and usd_balance >= price):
btc_balance += 1
usd_balance -= price
buy_prices.append(price)
print(f"买入 1 BTC,价格 {price},BTC余额 {btc_balance},USD余额 {usd_balance}")

# 卖出条件:每次买入后目标价 = 买入价 + grid_size
sell_targets = [bp + grid_size for bp in buy_prices]
for i, target in enumerate(sell_targets):
if price >= target:
btc_balance -= 1
usd_balance += price
print(f"卖出 1 BTC,价格 {price},BTC余额 {btc_balance},USD余额 {usd_balance}")
buy_prices.pop(i) # 卖掉已完成目标的买入
break # 每次只卖一次,防止索引错误

print("\n最终余额:")
print(f"BTC: {btc_balance}, USD: {usd_balance}")

The card is really nice physically hefty stainless steel. I have BTC version. I enjoyed all the intro promos and got them all ($250). I mainly use it as my gas card and dining now 4% and 3% respectively. I like how there is no paid tiers or annual fee or have to hold assets on platform for better Apr (Coinbase). So it wins for those reasons. The app works nicely to track spending and pay card. Sometimes the available balance won’t update until your next statement is made but my credit limit has plenty of room so that’s not an issue.

BTC is like 50x leveraged SPY but also 50x leveraged on good or bad news. SPY will bottom and leave for the races waaaaay before BTC recovers.

If one knows the price is going to drop to 70k or lower in the next few months why the hell did they buy a whole bitcoin at 100k?
I tried this during my 1st cycle when bitcoin skyrocketed from 2k to 12k and then started to crash.  That 10k threshold was pretty unbelievable and I was certain to gain more BTC by buying back lower.
You know what happened after I sold at 10k after the pop at 12k ath?  It pump faked and ran to 20k.
Sure, it did eventually bleed back down to $3800, but by then id already decided id rather be in than out, so I bought back at a much higher cost.  I still own less than I did then trying to time the market for more btc.
Buy,  buy more if it crashes more.  Don't sell thinking youre smarter than the market.  Youre obviously not, or you wouldn't have bought 100k bitcoin knowing it was going to 70k or lower.

If the demand for BTC is the same, can't that drop in inflow just be explained by the drop in price

Add the 100 and 50 week moving average. You will see the support level we just bounced off of. In 2021 it took a bit for the retrace up to the 50 week, maybe it happens faster? It would be the perfect bullshop, you would have BTC 100K headlines again right before the trap door opens

If BTC does not function as peer to peer cash because of crippled blocks, it isn‘t Bitcoin as [Satoshi invented it](https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf).
BCH still works exactly the way Satoshi invented Bitcoin.
You can draw your own conclusion about what that means. If you find this ridiculous/uncomfortable, congrats, you noticed you have cognitive dissonance because what you believe to be true, is unsupported by the facts.

Eh, I learned my lessons in 2018 and 2021.
Got sick of riding the rollercoaster down.
This time I bought majority at 15-20k, sold majority at 100-110k. I left ~20% of my holdings so I still have exposure.
I'll buy back in when BTC bottoms around 50k, drastically improving my position for the future.

Through all the years that it has seemed like a massive scam, there has been enough worldwide demand for a dollar substitute to keep Tether afloat. It's also notable that countries that use the US Dollar are crypto centers, El Salvador for promoting BTC and Cambodia for the captive callers forced into pig butchering scams.

Average net inflows since spot ETF approval is at $122.8 million per trading day.
We’ve had 469 trading days since spot ETF launch. But there’s only 5 trading days in a week. Today marks 683 calendar days since spot ETF launch. In terms of average daily inflows in calendar days, we’re at $84.36 million per day.
450 BTC are mined per day. If we reach a point where buying/selling outside of spot ETF’s is net neutral and spot ETF’s are chasing newly mined BTC only, equilibrium price would be $187.46k per BTC.
Supply shock is not a meme, it is a mathematical certainty and it’s currently underway.

If Iam a big corporate , can’t I just buy 500 million worth of bitcoin, issue in a billion dollar of convertible bonds or notes backed by 500 million BTC backed by half a cent . Then take in a billion dollar, again using half that to buy BTC. Keep on doing it like a fly wheel. Our company could just profit in billions. Is there any corporate doing this? 😎✌️ or am I out of my depth 😮‍💨?? Any experts here on the subject

I love BTC and have been in it for roughly 10 years, this bull run is over in my opinion. It went from $16k to $125k in 2 years. I can't post a chart but there's been a long term trendline since that bottom and it broke last week. If you bought over $100k just hold, but don't panic sell when it hits $50k. Hopefully I'm wrong and it rallies.
