Not everything is an asset, if he bought an house for live there and not planning to sell it, he bought a very useful tool
Contrary to what you said he did a very smart strategy: bought an asset and sold it at the right time for buy AN HOUSE, something most people our age will never be able to afford
I'm waiting the right moment for sell all my BTC and buy an house for turn it into a b&b, not because I don't believe in BTC anymore but because now I have a family and I have responsibilities, so a steady income is more appealing compared to the value of BTC who go up and down

For at least the next few years, you should be able to liquidate ibit for cash and buy BTC with it if needed. By this I mean I don’t see the government intervening or any shadiness of regypothecation for the next few years.
I would recommend that to anyone who has a Roth IRA where they are storing their ibit ( or any other stock). If you hold principle in Roth for greater than five years, as you can take it out tax free without penalty regardless of age. . I would the buy cold storage BTC. If you have maxed out Roth for ten years, you can lump sum withdraw around$30-35000 right now( whatever your initial investment) and buy BTC cold storage with it, tax free.
It limits your potential growth tax free by some, but is a tax free way to own your keys and bitcoin on-chain.

I was just about to comment roughly the same sentiment about the halvening. I think the 4-year cycle really comes from the impact the miners had on the price. I don't think that's still the case now. The current interest is much more institutional/corporate. That's why I imagine the halvening will have less of an effect on the broader picture from here on out.
I do think things are moving similarly to 2015-2017 for Bitcoin, which by my time projections would put the BTC peak somewhere in late Q1 or early Q2 of 2026. That would make it a 5-year cycle. And I wouldn't even be surprised if it continues to peak beyond that.

Because they are trying to call the beginning. If you call alt szn every time BTC dominance retreats a little eventually you’ll be right. Then you scream about how you called it, forget all the times you incorrectly called it, get followers and get paid to advertise scummy crypto projects.
TLDR - don’t listen to morons on social media.

Yeah, that's the difference between the cycles of '17 and '21 compared to more recently, where it's basically been locked in as a mainstream asset. A lot of these idiots on here think they would never sell, but they are considering that not too long ago this was still a very speculative asset that could have done anything. Imagine investing 50k in 2013 and watching that hit $5,000,0000 in 2017? For the overwhelming majority of people, that is a shit ton of money and would set them up for life as long as they are smart.
This kind of reminds me of the story from earlier this summer of the wallet from 2011 with 10k BTC that sold for 1 billion $. It's a lot of money, but if you believed in it and had that much conviction over that long period of time why not continue holding? Instead, whoever that was cashed out completely.

This is going to happen time and again with BTC.
As BTC remains cheap, big players will gobble it up, like we see here. Eventually, BTC will drop in value or flatten out, and therefor the value of these large entities holding BTC will plummet or again, remain flat. When that happens, we'll see a *dramatic* redistribution of BTC, as these large holders sell their BTC to move into other assets in search of gains.
This current hoard is simply a symptom of price volatility and speculation. As that volatility drops, so will the value of these hoards. It's going to be fine.
Now, notably, one thing that cannot happen, is a bail out. If BTC drops 50% and wipes these guys out, tax payers will not be coming to the rescue, at least not in the form of a BTC bailout. Which, is fantastic.

So doge before BTC? The true digital asset that compares to gold for the same reasons I mentioned that increases its value. You think doge will replace currency???

Not sure what you mean by your own wallet...you do not own your keys, as with any CEX. IBKR goes through Paxos and Zerohash exchanges so your keys reside with those 2 as far as I can tell. Both are pretty illiquid compared to a Kraken or Coinbase. It may suit people trading smaller positions. You can trade BTC, ETH, SOL, SUI, AVAX, DOGE and a few others. You have to sign up for a "crypto plus" account to trade 24/7. A bit weird...

* The price of Bitcoin around September 14, 2013 was about **$129.22** per BTC.
* The current price is about **$115,936** per BTC.
So:
1. With $50,000 at \~$129.22/BTC, you would have gotten about: 50,000129.22≈387.1 BTC129.2250,000≈387.1 BTC
2. If you still held those 387.1 BTC today, at \~$115,936 each, the value would be:387.1×115,936≈$44,880,000387.1×115,936≈$44,880,000
So your $50,000 investment back then would be worth about **$44.9 million** now.

Everyone here is hunting the next 100x token.
But what if part of your stack quietly earned Bitcoin every day — so you’ve got steady sats flowing while you wait for the Moonshot to hit? 🚀
That’s what I use GoMining for.
⸻
🔧 How it works
• You buy an NFT-backed ASIC miner (starting at $26.99 for 1 TH).
• Miner runs in GoMining’s datacenters — no noise, no setup.
• You get daily Bitcoin payouts, net of electricity + service costs.
• NFTs can be upgraded or resold anytime.
⸻
📊 Example numbers (BTC $116k, Sept 2025)
• 1 TH miner ($26.99): Profit ≈ 17 sats/day ($0.020)
• 384 TH miner ($8,896.99): Profit ≈ 6,528 sats/day ($7.57)
• With Promo Code ICjK3 → +5% TH on first miner = more sats, same price
⸻
🧠 Why it matters here
Moonshots are exciting, but they don’t pay daily.
Mining does.
Even if your degen bag goes to zero, your miners keep dripping BTC into your wallet.
⸻
Official site: https://gomining.com
Referral link (+5% TH): https://gomining.com/?ref=ICjK3
(Transparency: If you use my link/code, I get a 5% royalty; you get +5% TH on your first miner. Win-win.)
⸻
Takeaway: While you chase the next Moonshot, let miners handle the boring part: stacking sats every day. 🪙 Or use the daily payouts from your miner to swap them for new sexy coin 😁
