Yes, but not in the way of VET and DHL partnership, but more towards what VET and brands such as LVMH are doing.
LVMH have been doing some grounds of work on using NFT as means to confirm the authenticity of their item since 2017. LVMH first used ARIA20 back then. Breitling did the same thing too, but the news on these sort of died down, and now luxury brands are positioning in the NFT market. I am damn sure you will get a digital version of a bag when you purchase the physical bag in the future. Nike is also doing something known as Cryptokicks, which would allow you to combine the shoes you've bought digitally, so that you can merge the kicks and make a 1/1 unique pair of your own. I am mentioning LVMH because VET co-founder, Sunny Lu used to work with LVMH China.
VET does the same thing albeit without NFT (At least from my knowledge). So, through VET, scanning the QR code for example will enable you to get the items' details, types of leather, and customs declaration numbers- it's compliancy with state actors.
VET, and brands deploying NFT, can stop counterfeiting at the point of arrival at any point of delivery. There are other coins that does this too, such as OriginTrail.
