Cross border payments was their first initiative but they are working on many other sectors. Maybe you should torture yourself by watching the APEX events footage over the years. Many things have been happening in plain sight besides price movement.
If I don’t make money then I move on. XRP is a technology just like many other blockchains and directed acyclic graphs. It’s just one bag of many that could change my life or not.
