Shares of Infosys Limited (INFY) are up more than 5% in pre-market trade on Monday following second-quarter results.

07:59 Wednesday, October 13, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of Infosys Limited (INFY) are up more than 5% in pre-market trade on Monday following second-quarter results.

The IT major reported net income of $733 million or $0.17 per share in the second quarter, higher than $653 million or $0.15 per share last year. On average, 8 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.17 per share.

Revenue for the quarter increased to $3.998 billion from $3.312 billion in the same quarter a year ago. The consensus estimate was for $3.91 billion.

Looking forward, the company has raised its full-year revenue guidance to 16.5%-17.5% growth. This compares with the consensus estimate of $16.4%.

INFY closed Tuesday's regular trading at $21.88, up 0.27%. The stock is currently at $23.
