Silicon Motion Sees Prelim. Q2 Revenue Growth ~20%, Above Original 5%-10% Range

Silicon Motion Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:SIMO) ("Silicon Motion" or the "Company"), a global leader in NAND flash controllers for solid state storage devices, announces that based on its preliminary second quarter financial results, revenue is expected to grow approximately 20% sequentially, well in excess of the original 5% to 10% guidance range which the company issued on May 6, 2021. Gross margin (non-GAAP) is expected to be at least half a percentage point above the high-end of the company's original 48.0% to 50.0% guidance range.
