Royal Bank of Canada Q2 EPS C$2.76, Up From C$1.00 YoY

Royal Bank of Canada (TSX:RY) (NYSE:RY) today reported net income of $4.0 billion for the quarter ended April 30, 2021, up $2.5 billion from the prior year. Diluted EPS was $2.76, up significantly over the same period. Our results this quarter included releases of provisions on performing loans of $260 million compared to elevated provisions on performing loans of $2.1 billion in the prior year.
